It's by Mike Mayock, I've gone through a couple of the position workouts/drills. It's very cool and very informative and who better than Mayock to do it.

You may use this thread to:-Voice interest in trading up/down
-Propose, negotiate, and announce trades
-Approve/veto proposed trades
-Comment on trades or picks made
-Discuss anything else relevant
Rules-You are allowed to trade draft picks from 2010 or 2011. You may not trade players, though you may trade draft rights to a player that has already been drafted.
-Once trades are posted, they can be approved or vetoed by the public.
-Any GM who fails to respond to their check-in PM will be removed and their team will become open for anyone else to claim.
-Each GM will have 24 hours from when their team goes on the clock to make their selection. After 24 hours, an auto-pick will be made for you based on the following rankings:
http://profootball.scout.com/a.z?s=127&...124&yr=2010. Be warned that missing your pick subjects you to this board of prospects.
-Any GM who misses two picks will be removed and their team will become open. Any GM who misses a pick in the first round will be removed immediately.
-If at any point in the game you wish to simply have your team auto-picked based on BPA and/or best available per need, PM me (SteVo) with your preferences. This will likely happen in the middle/later rounds.
-At the conclusion of the game, we will post polls to grade GMs on their draft performance. Keep in mind that you will essentially be graded based on what you had to work with, so don't trade all your 2011 draft picks just to get good prospects in this game because it will ultimately count against you.
-Participation in this game is fun but requires substantial activity. If you may not be able to post your pick promptly, PM your "big board" to another member who can pick for you.

Updating a previous item, NFL.com's Gil Brandt reports that Alabama NT Terrence Cody only had 22 reps of 225 pounds on the bench press at the Crimson Tide's Wednesday Pro Day.
The difference between this account and agent Alvin Keels' (he claimed Cody had 32 reps) is major. Cody has likely lost muscle while shedding 22 pounds since the Senior Bowl, and it showed up on the bench. Oklahoma DT Gerald McCoy, with only slightly shorter arms, was criticized for repping 225 23 times.

Whats up my fellow draft junkies? With the Big Day coming up in April, I will be counting down the top 50 draft classes of the past decade, including a recap of player contributions (or lack thereof), individual awards and accolades, team performances, overall draft class analysis, and the team's "Perfect Draft" in retrospect... Stay tuned! The countdown will continue on a daily or nearly daily basis...

Alabama ILB Rolando McClain became winded at the Crimson Tide's Pro Day Wednesday, and revealed afterwards that he has Crohn's disease.
Jaguars QB David Garrard also has it. The inflammatory disease is treatable, but can cause abdominal pain and complications such as dehydration and arthritis. McClain has dealt with Crohn's since his freshman year in high school. The disease probably won't knock McClain out of the first round, but can't help.

Those of you who participated in this last year know how it works. The concept is to simulate the NFL Draft, but with TGP users acting as GMs for NFL teams making picks. You are allowed to trade picks or players as real teams can. If you want to see how it worked last year: here is the selection thread:
http://www.thegridironpalace.com/forums/TF...lec-t28972.html. Last year, we had a selection and discussion thread, but I'm thinking we should just combine the two for this year.
For now, I'm looking to see how many people are interested. No shows were a huge problem last year, and as you can see, we only got midway through the 3rd round. We will keep the same system in that after a certain deadline, we will autopick for whoever is on the clock. By signing up, you respect this and should keep your activity in mind. Bear in mind that if you are not that active, you can always PM your "big board" to someone and have them post your pick for you.
Also remember that this is a flawed system. With draft season in full swing, prospects' stock will be rising and falling very quickly, so a good pick made tomorrow might look like a reach or steal a month from now. It's all in good fun for us draft gurus.
As of now you can sign up for one team only. After this dies down a bit, I'll open it up for people to double/triple up.

The graphic shows the pick; explanations for each pick are shown below. Comments are appreciated, as always.

1. There have been lots of rumors about the Rams trading for a QB, but none of them seem to have any merit. For now, I'll go with Adam Schefter and say the Rams draft a franchise guy.
2. The Lions will be considering Russell Okung here, but they can't pass up Suh if the Rams don't get him.
3. Hey, the Bucs get to look smart for once. As long as one of the premiere defensive tackles is available there's no reason the Bucs should hesitate to pull the trigger.
4. Mike Shanahan likes quarterbacks, but I think he'll wait for his until at least the second round. In the meantime, Okung solidifes an offensive line that is desperate for talent and youth.
5. The "how far will Berry slide?" game starts--and ends--with this pick. Scott Pioli drafts for need, not best player available, so I could see Okung going here if he falls, but Piolo won't reach for another tackle. Berry give Kansas City's defense versatility and talent.
6. The Sehawks could go a few ways here, but with Joe Haden's slow forty time hurting his stock, I think Dunlap is their guy, filling one of their biggest needs: pass rush.
7. McClain's stock will be up in the air until he runs a forty at Alabama's pro day, but I'll give him to Cleveland since they desperately need defense, and McClain looks like a leader and stud for years to come.
8. Offensive tackle just makes too much sense for Al Davis, but Pierre-Paul fits the bill perfectly. His stock is all based on hype and physical potential. Still, this might not be a horrible pick for Oakland since they do need pass rush.
9. Jimmy Clausen is a possibility, but Davis is too good of value to pass up at this point. Besides, the Bills will need Davis to protect whoever starts at QB in 2010.
10. The Jaguars draft strictly according to best player available, and they don't like attitude concerns, which eliminates Dez Bryant. Clausen will be in line to replace David Garrard in a season or two.
11. So maybe Brandon Marshall is staying in Denver after all. With that out of the way, the best fit for Denver is Williams. If you think it's a stretch, remember that Josh McDaniels drafted Knowshon Moreno over Brian Orakpo last year.
12. Attitude problems? Not under Bill Parcells and Tony Sparano. Miami will get Bryant involved and turn him into Chad Henne's go to guy. Miami will probably look to add a linebacker if Bryant is gone here.
13. San Francisco finds themselves in a similar situation to last year: they're targetting the O-line, but Haden is too big a playmaker to pass up, like Michael Crabtree was. The 49ers will look tackle for their next pick.
14. Since it was too big a reach at 6th overall, the Seahawks get a franchise tackle here. Everybody else has C.J. Spiller here, but Pete Carroll says he wants a bigger back to complement Justin Forsett and I'm buying it. Spiller continues to fall.
15. This pick could be either Thomas or Brandon Spikes, depending on if the Giants address their linebacker need in free agency. With Karlos Dansby or Gary Brackett, Thomas is a lock for this pick. He'll pair with Kenny Phillips to make a very dynamic secondary.
16. The Titans could be looking at the front seven, but Wilson is too much to pass up at this point. Some scouts have him rated over Joe Haden, so he could go higher.
17. What a draft it'll be for the Niners if the board falls this way. Williams is a prototype right tackle, and would start from day one in San Francisco, instantly shoring up their offensive line.
18. The Steelers draft best player available, and Spiller is a steal at this point. He makes a crowded backfield with Rashard Mendenhall, but gives Pittsburgh's offense a lot of firepower.
19. Kindle is a playmaker and is big enough to play DE in a 4-3. He'll pair up with John Abraham to give Atlanta a huge pass rushing boost.
20. With all worthy prospects in the secondary gone, the Texans get a steal here in Morgan, a guy who helps their defensive line immediately.
21. The Bengals need receiving targets, and Tate is a speedy prospect who knows how to get open. Tight end is a possibility, but Chase Coffman is entering his second year and still has the potential to succeed.
22. Measuring at 6'1", Hughes is too small to play on the line of scrimmage, but fits perfectly into New England's 3-4. He'll give the Patriots' defense some pass rush they've been missing.
23. Ted Thompson is difficult to predict, but I'll give him Graham here, who will take over for Aaron Kampman opposite Clay Matthews.
24. Brandon Spikes is an option here, but Andy Reid loves big linemen, and there's no reason to think he won't love Iupati. Jamaal Jackson may not be fully recovered from ACL surgery in time, so Iupati could be the Eagles' starting center week one.
25. The Ravens get a choice between Benn and Jermaine Gresham here, but Baltimore knows when it's appropriate to reach for a guy they like (see: Joe Flacco) and I think they'll see Benn as a steal.
26. With Karlos Dansby heading elsewhere, the Cardinals need linebackers badly. Spikes is the best one available here, and pretty good value at this point in the draft.
27. Jerry Jones said Dallas was looking at every position except QB for this pick, so Mays is the guy. If it's a crappy pick, then good, nobody likes Dallas anyway.
28. I had this as the pick in my first mock and I'll stand by it now that Jamal Williams has been released. San Diego might even trade up for Cody with his stock rising.
29. McCourty is a rising prospect who gives the Jets some depth behind Revis Island. Bryan Price is also a possibility to play DE, but Rex Ryan's scheme is more dependent on talent in the secondary than on the line.
30. With Pat Williams getting older, Price is his heir apparent. The Vikings could go several ways with this pick, but Price is very good value here.
31. Bill Polian is always good for confusing us in the first round, but Weatherspoon is a steal if he's still on the board here. He'll help a linebacking corps that is set to lose Gary Brackett.
32. The Saints would have loved for Weatherspoon to fall, but Bowman is still a talented prospect who fills a big need for their defense.

ESPN's Adam Schefter told a St. Louis radio station he is "willing to take all bets" on his prediction that the Rams will select Oklahoma QB Sam Bradford with the No. 1 overall pick.
Schefter admits that he has not spoken to the Rams about the issue, but he insists he doesn't need to because he's "heard enough other things" from people around the league that he considers it a lock. Schefter also "promises" that Bradford is a top-5 player in this draft. The Rams are also reluctant to pay the going rate at No. 1 for a defensive player. If Schefter is correct, the Lions are sitting pretty at No. 2 with their choice of Ndamukong Suh and Gerald McCoy.

QUOTE
INDIANAPOLIS -- With the NFL Scouting Combine now over, it's a reasonable time to post my first mock draft. I'm sure many things will change with this projected first round, but here it is -- for now:
1. St. Louis Rams
Sam Bradford, QB, Oklahoma
This is a QB driven league and if the Rams don't trade for a QB in free agency or move down in the draft, Bradford is this year's Matthew Stafford. At 6-foot-4 ¼ and 236 pounds, he could be a franchise QB.
2. Detroit Lions
Ndamukong Suh, DT, Nebraska
He is impressive on tape, he put on a show at the combine, and he will be Jim Schwartz' answer to his days in Tennessee, when Albert Haynesworth dominated the line of scrimmage.
3. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Gerald McCoy, DT, Oklahoma
The Bucs have returned to the Monte Kiffin style 4-3 defense, and McCoy can do many of the things Warren Sapp did back in the glory days of Tampa's defense.
4. Washington Redskins
Russell Okung, OT, Oklahoma State
Chris Samuels is expected to announce his retirement this week, leaving a glaring hole at left tackle. But I do wonder if the 'Skins want to move up for Bradford.
5. Kansas City Chiefs
Bryan Bulaga, OT, Iowa
Chiefs GM Scott Pioli wants high character guys, and Bulaga fits the bill. He was coached by one of Pioli's friends in the business, Kirk Ferentz.
6. Seattle Seahawks
Jimmy Clausen, QB, Notre Dame
With Matt Hasselbeck's health and age now becoming a concern, the Seahawks need a QB of the future. And with two picks in the first round of new coach Pete Carroll's initial draft, now is the time to pull the trigger.
7. Cleveland Browns
Joe Haden, CB, Florida
The Browns have 11 picks in this draft and should come out of this process with a number of starters. A corner to plug in right away is a necessity.
8. Oakland Raiders
Anthony Davis, OT, Rutgers
Raiders owner Al Davis loves big linemen and has a special place for East Coast guys. Anthony Davis impressed at the combine and needs a push to reach his full potential. Tom Cable is an offensive line coach by trade and can get the most out of this guy.
9. Buffalo Bills
Rolando McClain, LB, Alabama
Buffalo can build the defense around McClain, especially since they are headed to a 3-4. He can play inside or outside.
10. Jacksonville Jaguars
Eric Berry, S, Tennessee
Berry can play anywhere in the secondary, which means he can match up well on division foes Dallas Clark or Andre Johnson.
11. Denver Broncos
Dan Williams, DT, Tennessee
The Broncos aren't abandoning the 3-4 defense, but they need bigger people up front. Williams can two-gap or penetrate, and is just what they need, either as a nose tackle or in 5 techniques.
12. Miami Dolphins
Earl Thomas, S, Texas
The Dolphins had two fine rookie corners last year but really need a safety who can play coverage. Right now they play with two strong safety types. Thomas can also demonstrate corner skills and match up with the slot wide receivers, like Wes Welker, in their division.
13. San Francisco 49ers
Trent Williams, OT, Oklahoma
The Niners need a tackle to play opposite Joe Staley if they want to keep pounding Frank Gore and protect Alex Smith. After drafting a guy like Williams, they can figure out who is left and right.
14. Seattle Seahawks
C.J. Spiller, RB, Clemson
This draft's version of the Titans' Chris Johnson. Pete Carroll always had a matchup back like Reggie Bush at USC, and Spiller could touch the ball 20 times a game as a rookie when you factor in his return skills.
15. New York Giants
Sergio Kindle, LB, Texas
The Giants need linebacker help in the worst way, and Kindle can do it all. If he is gone at this point in the draft, they could turn to Sean Weatherspoon.
16. Tennessee Titans
Derrick Morgan, DE, Georgia Tech
The Titans always seem to build around defense, and without Kyle Vanden Bosch or Jevon Kearse Tennessee will like Morgan's production in 2009 when he had 12.5 sacks, 18.5 tackles for loss and two forced fumbles.
17. San Francisco 49ers
Taylor Mays, S, USC
A rare athlete who will bring a presence to the 49ers' secondary.
18. Pittsburgh Steelers
Patrick Robinson, CB, Florida State
The Steelers could take a serious look at G/OT Mike Iupati, but in the end they need the best corner on the board.
19. Atlanta Falcons
Jason Pierre-Paul, DE, South Florida
Hard to take a one-year wonder in the first round, but this guy is passing the eye-ball test and has the potential to be very good.
20. Houston Texans
Kyle Wilson, CB, Boise State
The Texans will never win the division if they don't have the secondary to match up with the Colts' receivers. Dunta Robinson is leaving in free agency and must be replaced.
21. Cincinnati Bengals
Golden Tate, WR, Notre Dame
Tate ran a sub 4.3 40 on a lot of scouts' watches at the combine (although officially he ran 4.42). The former running back is a high character guy who had 93 catches last year for 16.1 yards per reception and 15 touchdowns. Carson Palmer needs a deep threat with the passing of the late Chris Henry.
22. New England Patriots
Brandon Graham, LB, Michigan
The Patriots need a pass rush, and they love smart outside linebacker candidates for their 3-4 defense. Belichick likes to jump into a 4-3 look occasionally, and Graham can do that as well. Graham had 29.5 sacks and 56 tackles for loss at Michigan.
23. Green Bay Packers
Mike Iupati, G, Idaho
Iupati is a versatile lineman with a lot of intensity. He could wind up playing anywhere along the front, but left guard would be ideal.
24. Philadelphia Eagles
Sean Weatherspoon, LB, Missouri
This guy has character, athletic ability, the football IQ to play in the middle, and he impressed at the combine. He finished his college career with more than 400 tackles, 43.5 tackles for loss, 12.5 sacks, and 18 passes defensed.
25. Baltimore Ravens
Dez Bryant, WR, Oklahoma State
A talented receiver with some baggage, though. The Ravens locker room could take care of Bryant, and this team needs a playmaker for QB Joe Flacco.
26. Arizona Cardinals
Charles Brown, OT, USC
The Cardinals need linebacker help and could look at a guy like Ricky Sapp, but they also lost their starting left tackle, Mike Gandy. And Brown looked better than most of the tackles at the combine.
27. Dallas Cowboys
Bruce Campbell, OT, Maryland
Campbell is a major project, and a team with an older starting left tackle who won't need to put Campbell in immediately should take a chance on this athlete. If Campbell has to play early, though, this experiment would be a disaster. The Cowboys like their linemen big, and someday he could replace Flozell Adams.
28. San Diego Chargers
Ryan Mathews, RB, Fresno State
LaDainian Tomlinson is gone and Darren Sproles is testing free agency. Matthews needs work in the passing game, but he is a work-horse back who had 3,280 yards and 39 touchdowns as a Bulldog, and who ran a 4.41 40 at the combine.
29. New York Jets
Jared Odrick, DT, Penn State
Odrick has the size to play anywhere along the defensive line. He's a high character guy, and the Jets have some age up front.
30. Minnesota Vikings
Brian Price, DT, UCLA
Pat Williams isn't getting any younger, and Price is a very disruptive force inside. The Vikings need corner help but can find it in the next round or free agency (Dunta Robinson or Leigh Bodden).
31. Indianapolis Colts
Maurkice Pouncey, C, Florida
If the Colts lose middle linebacker Gary Brackett, then things could change at this pick. But Pouncey is the best center in this draft, and Jeff Saturday can't play forever.
32. New Orleans Saints
Jerry Hughes, LB, TCU
The Saints could go in a number of different directions here, but Hughes brings pass rush and the athletic ability to play linebacker.

Team asks McCoy: G-string or jock strap?
Posted by Gregg Rosenthal on March 2, 2010 11:21 AM ET
The Bucs are off the hook. The single dumbest question of the NFL Scouting Combine was asked to Oklahoma defensive tackle Gerald McCoy.
"Someone asked me if I wore a g-string or a jock strap when I played," McCoy told the NFL Network set Monday to disbelief, laughter, and amazement.
SourceI actually found this from a Yahoo blog that theorized the team wanted to see how he would react to something unexpected, but it's still pretty damn weird

Our item from Saturday regarding Maryland's Bruce Campbell, who put up eye-popping numbers at the Scouting Combine as an offensive lineman but with whom multiple teams have yet to fall in love, sparked a mixed bag of responses. One league source insisted that Campbell is a sure-fire first-round pick -- another one said that Campbell "tests better than he plays."
In Campbell's case, however, a guy who studies this stuff as closely as anyone was candid. Mike Mayock placed the "buyer beware" tag on Campbell during Sunday's excellent NFLN coverage, explaining that the former Terp has a lot of "average" film.
And that's the most direct tie to Jets linebacker Vernon Gholston, whose stellar workout numbers and Paul Orndorff physique got the team to overlook plenty of subpar film. Though we've come to greatly respect the recent efforts of Jets G.M. Mike Tannenbaum, just think about how much better that team could be if they'd drafted an actual contributor with the sixth overall pick two seasons ago.
http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2010/...pbell/#commentsCorrect me if I am wrong... but comparisons to Vernon Gholston aren't good. lol

Three sources familiar with the situation tell Yahoo's Jason Cole that Dez Bryant's behavior in college was "consistently irresponsible."
"I wouldn’t draft that kid unless I had someone to wake him up in the morning to get to meetings, someone to wake him up for practice and someone to wake him up for games," one source said. Another source said Bryant was late to meetings, and even games. Yet another characterized Bryant as "just goofy." It's possible that teams are spreading bad info about Bryant in hopes of spurring a draft-day slide. We still don't see him lasting until the 12th pick.

Great, another prima donna receiver. Incoming!

http://views.washingtonpost.com/theleague/...at-combine.htmlQUOTE
INDIANAPOLIS--University of Maryland offensive tackle Bruce Campbell has become a standout performer at the NFL scouting combine.
Campbell, who was regarded by many draft analysts as a likely first-round pick in April entering the combine, had an eye-catching performance in the 40-yard dash Saturday at Lucas Oil Stadium.
He was
timed unofficially at 4.78 and 4.81 seconds, according to the league-owned NFL Network.
Campbell's agent, Drew Rosenhaus, called it a record-setting performance that should boost Campbell's draft stock.
Rosenhaus, writing on Twitter, called Campbell's time "unprecedented."
Rosenhaus
wrote later: "Bruce Campbell ran the best 40 time ever for an offensive lineman and at 314 [pounds] he will now be a surefire top 10 pick in the draft!"
Campbell had a more-than-respectable 34 lifts of a 225-pound weight bar in
the bench press Friday.
Holy ****, that is amazing for a o-line men.

Cody Weighs In...
Alabama DT Terrence Cody measured in this morning at 6-foot-4, 354 pounds, which is 16 pounds less than what he weighed in at the Senior Bowl. Cody is a very talented player and can impact a game in the trenches, but the biggest question is his conditioning. The fact that he was able to shed 16 pounds in four weeks is very impressive.
Hopefully he can keep the weight off, but it will be a struggle for him

The NFL conducted coin flips Friday to determine the final order of the first round of the 2010 draft. Six teams were directly involved in three coin flips, but two additional teams stood to gain.
As a result of three coin flips:
- The Jacksonville Jaguars own the 10th pick, with the Denver Broncos picking 11th. Denver acquired the pick from the Chicago Bears in the Jay Cutler trade;
- The Tennessee Titans will pick 16th and the San Francisco 49ers 17th, having acquired that pick from the Carolina Panthers;
- The Atlanta Falcons now have the 19th pick, and the Houston Texans select 20th.
The coin flips, held because those spots were tied due to same strength of schedule and no division or conference tie-breakers applied, took place in the lobby of the Westin Hotel in downtown Indianapolis. The NFL had three coins specially made for the occasion, one for each tie. The coins had the logos of the tied teams representing heads and tails, so neither team actually called its choice.
Here is the complete first-round draft order:
1. Rams (1-15)
2. Lions (2-14)
3. Buccaneers (3-13)
4. Redskins (4-12)
5. Chiefs (4-12)
6. Seahawks (5-11)
7. Browns (5-11)
8. Raiders (5-11)
9. Bills (6-10)
10. Jaguars (7-9)
11. Broncos (from Bears, 7-9)
12. Dolphins (7-9)
13. 49ers (8-8)
14. Seahawks (from Broncos, 8-8)
15. Giants (8-8)
16. Titans (8-8)
17. 49ers (from Panthers, 8-8)
18. Steelers (9-7)
19. Falcons (9-7)
20. Texans (9-7)
21. Bengals (10-6)
22. Patriots (10-6)
23. Packers (11-5)
24. Eagles (11-5)
25. Ravens (9-7)
26. Cardinals (10-6)
27. Cowboys (11-5)
28. Chargers (13-3)
29. Jets (9-7)
30. Vikings (12-4)
31. Colts (14-2)
32. Saints (13-3)

He is the early lead...
Okay, **** whether or not you think you have a shot. If your team had a shot at him, how would you feel? Pretend he has a horrible pro-day and 31 other guys have a miraculous combine if it helps....
The scenario is the same, your teams up and Suh is available... Do you want him? If you want someone over him, state your reasons...
I'm voting yes, I hope the Lions (or Cards for that impossible matter) draft him, he is clearly the front-runner and best overall player around (dispute if you want to).
I'm curious to gage his draft status.. satisfy my curiousity....

http://blogs.nfl.com/2010/02/26/injury-wil...out-at-combine/QUOTE
Oklahoma State's Dez Bryant, considered by many to be the best wide receiver available in this year's draft, said Friday that an injured hamstring will keep him from working out at the combine in Indianapolis.
Bryant does plan, however, to work out for teams in a few weeks.
"I'm going back to my pro day, and I'm going to do all my workouts at my pro day (on March 10)," Bryant said Friday.
Bryant said he "tweaked" the hamstring while working out last week. He added that he had injured the same hamstring during one of the three games he played in last September.
Bryant was suspended for most of the 2009 season after lying about his contact with former NFL star and current NFL Network analyst Deion Sanders.
Damn, I am kind of dissapointed. I was looking forward to watching him at the combine.
