What is happening in 2011?

I voted no, but I have heard some very positive hype about it. I will watch it next year fo sho.

NFL may have have a lockout in 2011, so the season wouldn't happen.
He doesnt just shut down recievers, he makes plays like a true defender

Why would they have a lockout? That's really dumb!

Have you not been following the news lol? They are more than likely going to get rid of the salary cap next year.

Because the CBA deal is coming to an end, and they haven't been able to come to a new agreement...

I voted no, but thinking about it, I think it's cool that players who are just below NFL Level, be it washed up or not ready, have a chance to play football. With NFL Europe and the AFL folding, all that was left was the CFL.

The only think I dislike about the UFL is that they run their season during the NFL Season when people aren't football deprived. Dumb move IMO. There's a reason the AFL succeeded for 20+ years, and it's because they milked their "football in the off-season" and "cure to Post Super Bowl Stress Disorder" mantra.

I voted yes because I really think it would benefit the NFL and if they change the way they market it and change the schedule so that it doesn't start until after the NFL season is over it could actually have some success. Seriously, right now they're competing with the NFL and college football...no way in hell are they going to generate a lot of interest going up against those monsters. Also, they need to stop advertising themselves as "Where Future Stars Come to Play"...nobody is that dumb to actually believe that ****...they need a new slogan.

I'll never watch it unless it's all that on, but yes I do care about it from this standpoint. It is the NFL's version of the NBA's developmental league. While the players may not be particularly connected to any certain team, it sort of serves the same purpose. Do I want it to die? No. I'm still rather disgruntled about the AFL going down the drain. Honestly.

What I find funny is all we ever hear of the UFL in forums like such...as topics exactly like this one. I think that statement alone says a lot about the NFL fans' desire to pay any attention to the UFL. I think a lot of NFL fans tried to give it a chance, thought they might like it, but in the end...we'd all rather watch constant NFL Draft Coverage over any UFL game. I watched a few minutes of a game or 2 last season and its just not professional football in my mind....doesn't compare.

Did I hear correctly that the California Redwoods are now called the Sacramento Mountain Lions???

BLUE  : (09 September 2010 - 03:28 AM) because he is apparently a LOT older
Favre4Ever  : (09 September 2010 - 03:30 AM) Do we know this for a fact?
BLUE  : (09 September 2010 - 03:34 AM) No, hence why I said "apparently".
BLUE  : (09 September 2010 - 03:36 AM) But some of the jersey threads he's made, along with (I think it was him) some of the old video clips of NFL games threads he made last year lead me to believe so....
BLUE  : (09 September 2010 - 03:37 AM) Like NaTaS was saying the other night......he sounds like an old dude that doesn't know how to post......
BLUE  : (09 September 2010 - 03:38 AM) Either that, or he's a troll.

PurpleHaze  : (09 September 2010 - 06:18 AM) hows it going
RazorStar  : (09 September 2010 - 08:37 AM) The Jets gave playcalling duties to Mark Sanchez for parts of their final preseason game. On their first drive with Nacho making calls, the offense scored a touchdown, prompting Sanchez to tell Brian Schottenheimer that his job is easy and he sucks. Merely light teasing, sure, but I appreciate the mockery of any Schottenheimer.

Sarge  : (09 September 2010 - 09:19 AM) Tom Brady was in a wreck?

BucD  : (09 September 2010 - 09:25 AM) Yea I responded in your thread...
BucD  : (09 September 2010 - 09:25 AM) but apparently he's completely fine...
Sarge  : (09 September 2010 - 09:26 AM) I don't think it says, but was he driving?
BucD  : (09 September 2010 - 09:27 AM) I edited my post and added the PFT article I read earlier...
BucD  : (09 September 2010 - 09:27 AM) Yea he was driving...
Sarge  : (09 September 2010 - 09:28 AM) He could still feel that "post-crash" effect Sunday.
Sarge  : (09 September 2010 - 09:29 AM) Maybe. It's definitely possible.
BucD  : (09 September 2010 - 09:29 AM) It's possible but I doubt it...
BucD  : (09 September 2010 - 09:30 AM) We'll really never know though, because if he does play bad or mediocre people will say it was because of that and of course he will say it wasn't.
Sarge  : (09 September 2010 - 09:30 AM) Do they think the wreck was his fault?
BucD  : (09 September 2010 - 09:31 AM) I dunno, I have not read anything more about it.
BucD  : (09 September 2010 - 09:32 AM) The other driver had to be taken out with the jaws of life, maybe he t-boned her...
Sarge  : (09 September 2010 - 09:32 AM) Yea, maybe. Well I gotta get ready and go to class. See ya.
BucD  : (09 September 2010 - 09:33 AM) Or he rear ended her really ****ing hard...or even a head to head collision.
BucD  : (09 September 2010 - 09:33 AM) Later.
Sarge  : (09 September 2010 - 09:33 AM) Mav just IM'd me and said the other driver ran a red light.
