This thread is strictly for official draft selections. All other discussion is for the other thread. Post your pick, provide a picture to spice it up if you like, and feel free to provide explanation on your selection. You will be graded on these, after all, so you have an opportunity to sway the voters in your favor.

 

Rules

1) Starting when the first overall pick is made, all NFL transactions in real life are null and void. This includes free agent signings and all trades that involve draft picks.

2) You are allowed to trade draft picks from 2012 or 2013. You may not trade players, though you may trade draft rights to a player that has already been drafted.

3) When compensatory picks are announced by the NFL, we will add them to the draft order. In line with NFL rules, compensatory picks cannot be traded.

4) Trades between two separate GMs need only be confirmed by both GMs in the discussion thread. Trades between two teams of the same GM must be submitted to the discussion thread for approval.

5) Each GM will have 24 hours from when their team goes on the clock to make their selection. Missing your pick may result in you forfeiting your team. If you think you may be unable to make your pick on time, send a "board" or wishlist of prospects to someone you trust to make the pick for you.

Look, I'm not gonna make trades, or do anything like that. It's been a foregone conclusion that the team picking first overall is going to Andrew Luck. Well I'm not changing that mentality. When you can get a QB prospect like this, you have to pull the trigger.

The best pass rusher in this draft who we feel dwarfs the abilities of the similar players coming out this year. Fill an immediate need and knocks out the biggest weakness of the team.
