crazy to think about the number of QBs there are whose careers overlapped with, or were entirely spanned by, Favre's

It's kinda sad how his career happened to end. Seemed like a really great guy. We should consider ourselves lucky that we got to watch him play all these years just like the older guys are lucky that they could watch JohnnyU and Montana or Jim Brown and Bart Starr. Any of those guys.

The little ones will soon be asking us of the great Brett Favre. :D

As inefficient as he was, especially in the post season, still one hell of a QB and I will never forget what he did for the Packers. Has always been and always will be one of my favorite NFL players of all time.

I like how quickly everyone's hatred completely vanishes after a year or two. Vick killed dogs and Favre terrorized us with his retirement bullshit (and also sent out a bunch of cock shots and creepy old man texts to Sterger).

Big Ben will forever be a rapist, however.

I respect Favre as one of the greats, but his retirement fiasco and the fact that he stayed for (in my opinion) a bunch of records was ridiculous.

I'm sorry, but rape is a little bit worse than dragging out a retirement, the comparison to dog fighting I'm sure would get people on both sides so I won't get into that but will simply point out that a lot of people still hate Vick very much for that

Yea in response to Zos' point he became annoying with all his retirement drama but once it was finally said and done we were able to move passed the bs and remember the HOF career he had. I can't compare that to what Vick or Big Ben did.

Great slides how that really take me through so many memories and when ever a new superstar QB arose, there was always Favre. I don't mind his time in Minny but mane does that Jet uniform look ugly on him.

I may be misunderstanding you, but are you seriously comparing a drawn out retirement to rape? What the fuck man.

Over 90% of all "alleged" rapists go free. On top of that less than 50% of all rapes are even reported. It being "alleged" means about as much to me as OJ's innocence. There are plenty of NFL stars in the league and Big Ben is the one accused of rape 3 times...your going to tell me at least one of them wasn't legit?

Speaking for myself, I never hated him as a Jet (in fact I rooted for the Packers AND Jets that year), only when he played for the Vikings. Even then I didn't hate the guy, just wanted him to lose all the time cuz he was on the rival team.

And I don't think he came back just for the records, he came back to win another championship. Had he won in 2007 with us I'm sure he would have retired then, but he wanted to be able to get one more before he left. Not to say piling onto his records didn't factor in, just not as much as a SB.

In any case I think raping somebody and killing innocent animals is worse than being undecided about your retirement for 3-5 years. That being said I've been over those crimes for some time now. Haha.

About the bolded part I can't really tell you why people continue to drag that on. To me, he regrets his decision and clearly it was a one time deal with him it's not like he's a serial rapist or nothing. lol. I say let it go but then there's those hatemongers who just look for reasons to bash on other players..

First of all, it was two times, not three. Second, anyone that actually took the time to find out the facts rather than puckering up their assholes for whatever the media rams up there would agree that he didn't rape anyone.

First case the woman was insane. She met some military guy online and stalked him and told everyone they were getting married. She then told everyone the same about Ben after he stayed at the hotel she worked at and repeatedly told people she "hoped she was carrying little Roethlisberger." She waited over a year and a half to bring her accusations to civil court where the case amounted to nothing.

Second case the girl was underage, blew ten times the legal limit, wore a "down to fuck" pin, originally said she wasn't raped and then changed her story multiple times. There was not enough evidence for the district attorney to decide to take the extremely high profile case to trial (no male DNA found inside her, rape kits showed nothing).

But yeah, Ben RAPED THE FUCK OUT OF THREE WOMANS.
