If you could choose the HC, OC and DC for your team - who would it be?

Rules: Must have been in the NFL from 2007-Present.
HC: The Hoodie
OC: Sean Payton
DC: Dick LeBeau

I am gonna go off a little bit and say I'd like Mike Tomlin as my head coach. Reason being is he has proven he is a pretty damn good head coach and is still quite young for being a head coach. Plus having that Steeler nastiness, you know you are gonna have teams that are ready to bring some nasty.

For my offensive coordinator it would have to be Sean Payton. The dude just knows offense. It's that simple.

My choice for defensive coordinator is Dick LeBeau. His defenses are always some of the league's best, year in and year out, and is arguably one of, if not the greatest defensive coordinator ever in the NFL.

Honorable mention to The Hoodie for either or being a HC or DC.

Mike Tomlin
Mike McCarthy
Dick LeBeau

There's a reason Pittsburgh won their sixth championship: two of the guys I listed.

I honestly believe the Hoodie is overrated. Since the loss of Asante Samuel, it's as if he refuses to fix his secondary. I don't know why, and don't care if he can get the most out of no-name players. Their defense has been a problem for several years now, and it's almost as if they won't sign anybody to help their team out. Sure, nobody knew Andre Carter would play as well as he did last year. Signing Brandon Lloyd is the closest thing to an honest attempt to improve their franchise through FA in several years. Is he probably in the conversation for best coach in the game? Yes, but so are Mike Tomlin and Tom Coughlin. I took my preference between those two.

I'm a little nervous about my OC pick. I wonder how McCarthy could do without the best QB and the best 1-5 set of WRs in the game.

Need I explain why I picked Dick LeBeau?

HC - Bill Belichick. Takes pieces of shit and turns them into champions. Finds every flaw in every opponent and exploits it. Finds every strength in every player on his football team and uses them to his team's advantage.

DC - John Harbaugh. Would've made him the HC if he didn't lack experience. He's pissed off all the fucking time, intimidates you just by his presence, and hates hates hates losing. Doesn't accept excuses, and punishes the shit out of everybody if they do not give everything they have all the fucking time. BAMF.

OC - Tony Dungy. Very poised and knows how to keep his players as such. Knows how to get every single player involved on offense and how to get the receivers open.

Edit: This assumes the criteria was that they had to be apart of coaching at some point during the 2007-2011 NFL seasons. Not that they had to be coaching during that entire time. By the wording in the first post it could be taken either way, and if its the second one, that doesn't make sense, seeing as there wouldn't be very many options to choose from.

BC, you do realize that defense is what Tony Dungy's specialty is, right? He helped Monte Kiffin develop the Tampa 2. Having him as OC makes no real sense.

Tom Moore and Peyton Manning were the reasons that Colts offense was so good.

Alright fucknut, let's break it down...

Quote

Since the loss of Asante Samuel, it's as if he refuses to fix his secondary.

Well since Asante Samuel's overrated ass left, BB has used 40 of his draft selections on 20 defensive players from 2008-2011. And FWIW, he went all defense in this year's draft with the exception of taking a wideout at 235th overall. Blame guys like Darius Butler, Terrence Wheatley, Ron Brace, Shawn Crable, etc., etc. for not living up to their expectations. He's done plenty to try to fix the secondary.

Quote

I don't know why, and don't care if he can get the most out of no-name players. Their defense has been a problem for several years now, and it's almost as if they won't sign anybody to help their team out.

Building through the draft is typically a lot better than building through FA. Want to tell me how the Redskins and Dream Team Eagles have done as of late?

Quote

Sure, nobody knew Andre Carter would play as well as he did last year

And what about Mark Anderson who also registered double-digit sacks? Oh, but since they were cheap pickups we can just act as if BB still doesn't give a fuck to sign anyone to help his team out, right?

Quote

Signing Brandon Lloyd is the closest thing to an honest attempt to improve their franchise through FA in several years.

Good lord... I don't even...

Right, because draft picks not turning out takes all of the blame away from the head coach...you just don't want to admit that I made a point.

You were trying to make it sound like he's put in zero effort to revamp his defense, dumbfuck. He's taken plenty of defensive players, a bunch haven't panned out, tough shit... doesn't make him an ''overrated HC''. If you know anything about BB, it's that he's a defensive minded coach first and foremost. The last thing he wanted to see was his defense turn to dog shit. And guess what, it won't be awful for much longer considering the defensive players he's added over the past few years. McCourty and Cunningham should be improved, Dowling will be great if healthy, and Chandler Jones and Dont'a Hightower have great potential. FA signings in Fanene and Scott could also be pretty significant.

I thought about making Sean Payton the OC, but Tony Dungy knows how to drive defensive coordinators nuts, and to exploit holes in defenses.

Tony Dungy had nothing to do with the offense outside of keeping Tom Moore around, dipshit.

Except for the fact that he won 2 rings coaching up a nasty Giants defense in the early 90's.

I love it... it's either ''Brady would be nothing without Belichick!'' or ''Belichick would be nothing without Brady!''. Just fucking stop already.

Favre4Ever+  : (19 June 2013 - 12:11 AM) I hate both teams though, so, idgaf.
BLUE  : (19 June 2013 - 12:11 AM) Yeah, I expected some walks. He was soooo nervous early on. Breathing hard, fidgeting between pitches. But he ultimately settled down and did more than enough to secure his first MLB win. Thankfully our offense woke the fuck up late in the game and was able to give it to him.
Favre4Ever+  : (19 June 2013 - 12:12 AM) Ya, that's expected to some degree. So no hate here. Kinda worried about him, but glad it worked out... Worked out verrrrry nicely :D
Favre4Ever+  : (19 June 2013 - 12:12 AM) I am just mad Sarge got Cole before me... If I could have had them both... Damn it. lol
RANGA+  : (19 June 2013 - 12:12 AM) i just dont wanna see the heat win again
RANGA+  : (19 June 2013 - 12:13 AM) makes me wanna puke
BLUE  : (19 June 2013 - 12:13 AM) You can always drop him if it worries you. :D
Favre4Ever+  : (19 June 2013 - 12:13 AM) I want to see the Heat trade away Wade and Bosh
Favre4Ever+  : (19 June 2013 - 12:13 AM) Ehh, I will suffer. Haha. Thanks for your concern though Blue
Favre4Ever+  : (19 June 2013 - 12:13 AM) ;)
BLUE  : (19 June 2013 - 12:14 AM) His walk rates weren't bad in the minors though, in all seriousness. He was just amped up and full of adrenaline for tonight.
BradyFan81  : (19 June 2013 - 12:14 AM) those fans don't deserve that teams
BradyFan81  : (19 June 2013 - 12:14 AM) how mad are Spurs fans right now though?
BLUE  : (19 June 2013 - 12:15 AM) And Harvey dominated in the first game. Best double-header ever. :yep:
Bay  : (19 June 2013 - 12:15 AM) There's still some good pitchers to be had ;)
BLUE  : (19 June 2013 - 12:15 AM) We're still miles away, but please be good Harvey and Wheeler.
Socal  : (19 June 2013 - 12:16 AM) Fuck Dale Thayer GDIAF
Favre4Ever+  : (19 June 2013 - 12:18 AM) I'd just think it would be awesome for the Heat to tell Wade to fuck off because they want to rebuild with Lebron. Ha
Favre4Ever+  : (19 June 2013 - 12:18 AM) Although, I dunno why Lebron would want to do that.
Favre4Ever+  : (19 June 2013 - 12:20 AM) Probably run back to Cleveland. Their core will be so epic...
JetsFan4Life  : (19 June 2013 - 12:24 AM) Yeah lebron won't be sticking around for any rebuilds anywhere.
BradyFan81  : (19 June 2013 - 12:27 AM) if the Heat win then I don't think they'll be changing anything for a while
Favre4Ever+  : (19 June 2013 - 12:28 AM) Big 3s contracts are up soon, though, aren't they?
Socal  : (19 June 2013 - 12:28 AM) Striking out on a foul tip to end the game, gayest shit ever
Favre4Ever+  : (19 June 2013 - 12:28 AM) Bosh is ass, and Wade is only good for a game a week with his knees
Socal  : (19 June 2013 - 12:29 AM) go kill yourself, Dale Thayer, ruining the Padres streak
Favre4Ever+  : (19 June 2013 - 12:29 AM) Lebron SHOULD be out no matter what
Favre4Ever+  : (19 June 2013 - 12:29 AM) If he was intelligent
BLUE  : (19 June 2013 - 12:32 AM) LeBron can opt out after next season, I think.
Sarge+  : (19 June 2013 - 12:33 AM) The worst part of the Spurs losing tonight is Duncan had himself a game... 30 points 17 rebounds at age 37. Who does that?
Sarge+  : (19 June 2013 - 12:34 AM) Feel bad for Timmy. :(
funnygunny  : (19 June 2013 - 12:34 AM) tim tebow?
funnygunny  : (19 June 2013 - 12:34 AM) or should i say, TOM TEBOW
Tridentdawgp...  : (19 June 2013 - 12:35 AM) Adam Kilgore ✔ @AdamKilgoreWP "Show up tomorrow ready to eat somebody's face." -- Jayson Werth on how he gets over losses.
Tridentdawgp...  : (19 June 2013 - 12:35 AM) Sure, Jayson. Why not?
RazorStar  : (19 June 2013 - 12:56 AM) Miller can only beat what is put in front of him and for the most part, he did that to an elite level. No pass-rusher is going to beat the offense on every single snap, but Miller is definitely a creator of his own production rather than a benefactor of teammates or offensive futility.
RazorStar  : (19 June 2013 - 12:57 AM) The most telling part of the above chart is Miller’s time to sack the quarterback. If you take out the two sacks when he caught the quarterback from a coverage assignment, the 3.29 number drops to 2.75 seconds per sack. That kind of speed from a position lined up next to the defensive line puts a huge amount of pressure on the quarterback to get rid of the football.
RazorStar  : (19 June 2013 - 12:57 AM) http://presnapreads....ason/#more-1155
RazorStar  : (19 June 2013 - 01:00 AM) Even if his sack numbers falter over the rest of his career, Miller isn’t a sack specialist from the point of view that that is his strength. I’m not sure Miller really has a strength. He does everything well and while that can be seen as a negative to some, he does everything so well that it makes him an elite defender and one of the very best young players in the league.
Favre4Ever+  : (19 June 2013 - 01:01 AM) How is doing everything well a negative?
Favre4Ever+  : (19 June 2013 - 01:01 AM) He sucks at nothing. Send him to Green Bay
RazorStar  : (19 June 2013 - 01:02 AM) Well Erik Walden is terrible at everything and he gets paid.
RazorStar  : (19 June 2013 - 01:02 AM) so being good at everything must be a bad thing
Favre4Ever+  : (19 June 2013 - 01:02 AM) lol
Favre4Ever+  : (19 June 2013 - 01:02 AM) Touche
RANGA+  : (19 June 2013 - 01:15 AM) I like what you said about Miller largely being responsible for his own production Raz
RANGA+  : (19 June 2013 - 01:15 AM) i think thats his strongest feature
RANGA+  : (19 June 2013 - 01:16 AM) you can stick him in any defensive scheme and hed get pressure in the backfield
Favre4Ever+  : (19 June 2013 - 01:26 AM) Dude, you could line him up at CB and he would shut down Megatron
RANGA+  : (19 June 2013 - 01:28 AM) well maybe not that far :p
