BradyFan81 404 Posted October 1, 2014 (edited) Uhh yeah they've pretty much ignored the offense for this season. What offseason move did they make to help the offense besides sign LaFell? All of their moves in the past 1 yr and a half have sucked dick lol. Signing Amendola, letting Woodhead go, letting Welker go, letting Blount go, trading Mankins. Pretty damn close to ignoring it I'd say. Edited October 1, 2014 by BradyFan81

Show me where I referenced this offseason? Show me where I said all/any of those players are good? You're just picking a fight for no reason. BradyFan81 404 Posted October 1, 2014 (edited) Sorry, I misunderstood you and thought that you were listing players that you thought were good. But I guess it was just a general rundown of our moves the past few years. So yeah, my point, that is completely independent of yours, is that BB has left Brady with a shitty supporting cast. It's one of the bottom 3 or 4 skill groups in the NFL. The best receiver is a converted college QB who no one even wanted in free agency. The offensive line is also bottom 5 in the league. I don't think this is the "end of an era," we're just in need of a major talent infusion at the skill positions. Nor do I think Brady is in decline, give him a legit #1 outside WR and he will put up big numbers again. Edited October 1, 2014 by BradyFan81
Glanvilles Grits 142 Posted October 1, 2014 (edited) 7 surgeries in the past 2 years. Bad knee, bad arm, bad back. He's a shell of himself. currently being held without bail in Bristol county jail Why do people think Vereen is good? One of the worst LTs in the NFL. A healthy Inactive 3 of 4 weeks. and then let Woodhead go. ummmm.. I've seen this before. People thought Brady was declining in 2006, then we got Moss Welker and Stallworth and set records. We thought Brady was declining in 2009, then we got Gronk and Hernandez and were a top 3 offense in the NFL from 2010-2012. Just need to get some talent in here next year and the offense will be back. I don't care what anyone says, I agree with this statement right here. Gronk isn't at 100% right now, that's a no-brainer IMO. Why are people still on the whole idea that Amendola is a legitimate #1 receiver? He never was. For one, he's injury prone. For two, there is not one single thing that he does exceptionally well (In terms of top 10). He's you're average #1 receiver when he's healthy. The type of guy who will give you some highlights, but he's not going to put up huge numbers. Dobson? They won't even play him! That tells you everything you need to know. Tom Brady is a great quarterback, but aging, you start needing some help from the rest of the team. The Patriots have far more problems right now than Tom Brady looking inaccurate early in the season. The problem is that they took the approach in the off-season that they were going to make a defense that could win a championship instead of finely tuning what they knew they had (Tom Brady at QB). The Patriots completely flopped making a top defense like they wanted to. They aren't covering guys, their linebackers are getting killed in the middle of the field. They should have went into the off-season and found a big time receiver. You're telling me they couldn't have swung a little for Stevie Johnson, I understand the Bills are in the same division, but let's be honest, the Bills aren't contenders in the near future and for what they could have given up for a receiver like Johnson. Brady would have been eating him up! More so, the Patriots brass could have went after DeSean Jackson when he was released by the Eagles, they never even attempted! Could you imagine Tom Brady with a play-making speedster like Jackson, and Gronk under-neath or running down field beside him? Holy hell. Game over! BC 331 Posted October 1, 2014 (edited) I'm intrigued to see if Brandon Browner helps the bleeding a little. Though the guy himself is pretty injury prone and doesn't exactly keep his hands off receivers very well which may be problematic. Glanvilles Grits 142 Posted October 1, 2014 Brandon Browner, Mr. Jekyll and Hyde himself. One week, fantastic, the next, yikes! Then again, I think the targets his opponents see won't be nearly as high with Revis not playing as well as in the past.
BradyFan81 404 Posted October 2, 2014 (edited) According to Shalise Manza Young of the Boston Globe, Aaron Dobson was inactive for the last two games because he “mouthed off” to offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels. shalise manza young ✔ @shalisemyoung Follow on Dobson: source says he "mouthed off" to Josh McDaniels, leading to his being inactive vs. OAK & KC Mcdaniels is such a little twat, I can't stand his fucking face. Napoleon complex like you read about. Will some shitty college please just offer him your head coaching job so we can get him out of here? butta54 371 Posted October 3, 2014 My only two cents about the Patriots is I'm suprised at the bad play by their two tackles. I'm not sure what is being said but IMO there were a few seasons in a row that Solder was straight locking people down on the left side mostly because of that incredibly long reach from his 6'8 frame. He was raw coing out of Colorodo and most people praised the job the Patriots did with him. Vollmer the same thing. You had twin tower bookends who were borderline pro-bowl in my eyes. Not sure what is happening now.
Piggly Wiggly 960 Posted December 23, 2014 Might be awhile before this franchise gets back on track, depending on how much their blocking can improve in one offseason. What's their cap situation like? It's really curious to me how they neglected WR and OL in this past year's draft. With how loaded the draft was at WR, they could've gotten a Martavis Bryant or something in the 5th round. Less than 3 months later and the Pats have locked up the #1 seed.
