Jordan629 3 Posted April 18, 2014 (edited) Added a round, switched a lot of picks. I've looked over it plenty of times and I'm hoping I didn't repeat any players. If i did, please point it out and I'll edit it. Round 1 1. Houston Texans - Jadeveon Clowney, DE/OLB, South CarolinaHe's simply the best player in the draft IMO. Houston can't pass this guy up. Watt and Clowney will terrorize offenses. 2. St. Louis Rams - Greg Robinson, OT, Auburn Best OT in the draft goes to St. Louis where they could use some shoring up of the o-line.3. Jacksonville Jaguars – Teddy Bridgewater, QB, Louisville I don’t buy that his stock is dropping and I don’t think Jacksonville is stupid enough to not take the best QB in the draft when he’s sitting right there.4. Cleveland Browns - Sammy Watkins, WR, Clemson Gordon paired with Watkins could really help whatever QB they have next in Cleveland (and, you know, maybe a competent coaching staff). Gordon may also walk in FA after next season but we’ll see.5. Oakland Raiders – Johnny Manziel, QB, Texas A&M Yeah, they just got Schaub but even with his stupid contract, he can be a stopgap. Oakland has the cap room (weird to say) that can handle Schaub’s deal for the time being while Manziel learns. I’m a guy who thinks if a QB is a first round pick, he should be good enough to start right away, but Manziel needs some pro coaching work first.6. Atlanta Falcons – Jake Matthews, OT, Texas A&M Atlanta has a $100MM investment to protect. Pass rushing is a need but that can be addressed later. It’s not the “sexy” pick that maybe a lot of Falcons fans want, but it’s the right pick.7. Tampa Bay Buccaneers – Khalil Mack, OLB/DE, Buffalo Alright Tampa fans of Gridiron Palace, I’m sorry to have wronged you last time with my admittedly lazy choice. This one I do believe in. You’ve got a good defense but you need some damn edge rushers. There’s no way Lovie is going to see the best pass rusher in the draft available to him and not pounce. Mack is good enough to play SAM OLB or even DE on passing downs in a 4-3. He’ll be a very useful tool for Lovie and Tampa’s D.8. Minnesota Vikings – Blake Bortles, QB, Central Florida This pick could go a lot of ways. Speilman has been known to trade around in the draft a lot lately so who really knows what Minnesota plans on doing. They could go pass rusher, but with Clowney and Mack gone and Barr’s stock apparently dropping, it turns out they have a pretty big need at QB if you haven’t heard. Bortles doesn't blow me away, but he's everything that Ponder isn't. And that's a good thing. 9. Buffalo Bills – Eric Ebron, TE, UNC Buffalo has the dominant defense, now to work on the offense. Give EJ Manuel some weapons and try your best to (hopefully) salvage what appears to be a reach on a QB last year. Ebron can be a QB’s best friend.10. Detroit Lions – Darqueze Dennard, CB, Mich St. No brainer here. Detroit really needs the secondary help. Best CB in the draft falls to them at #10 so they hopefully don’t have to see their usual top 10 draft choice for a little while again.11. Tennessee Titans – Kony Ealy, DE, Missouri Kamerion Wimbley was a huge FA bust and Titans have really no one else at pass rusher. Newly hired Dc Ray Horton should employ his “hybrid” 3-4 with the Titans, Ealy might be a better fit for 4-3 DE, but he's still the BPA here IMO. Has some natural pass rush ability that can be used regardless of scheme.12. New York Giants - Aaron Donald, DT, Pittsburgh Donald has shot up draft board thanks to his combine and break out senior year. May be a little undersized but fits well in a 4-3. With the loss of Linval Joseph and the Giants needing to use the Eagles DT scraps, it's time the Giants get back to what got them 2 SBs in 5 years, good drafting. Donald could eventually be good pair with big John Hankins.13. St. Louis Rams - Ha'Sean Clinton-Dix, FS, Alabama Weakest position on the Rams is safety, weaker than OT. "HaHa" is the best safety in this draft, perfect fit for their 2nd first round pick.14. Chicago Bears – Justin Gilbert, CB, Oklahoma St. If Clinton-Dix didn't go to St. Louis he'd probably be going here. Secondary in general is the Bears biggest weakness. Tillman is on his last leg, too. I originally had them going DT, but secondary is too much of a glaring need to go DT.15. Pittsburgh Steelers – Mike Evans, WR, Texas A&M Biggest threat at WR right now is Antonio Brown, with the loss of Emmanuel Sanders to Denver. Lance Moore and Darius Heyward-Bey are both 1st round bust scraps from pass heavy teams that couldn't even stick there, so they're just stopgap pickups really. Tallest WR on the team is Justin Brown, who is...who exactly? Anyway, Evans brings size and another much needed element to Pittsburgh's offense.16. Dallas Cowboys – Timmy Jernigan, DT, Florida St. What need don't the Cowboys have on defense? They could easily go safety here but with Marinelli at the helm of the defense I can see them strengthening their D-line. Melton could be good if healthy, but that D-line needs a major facelift. Jerrnigan is a high motor guy I can see Dallas liking a lot. 17. Baltimore Ravens - Louis Nix III, DT, Notre Dame Ngata has been more of a DE lately and Terrence Cody isn't very good at all. A chance to bring in the draft's best NT into a defensive unit that has a long history of great play, and I think we'll be hearing about Nix for many years to come. 18. New York Jets - Brandin Cooks, WR, Oregon StateDecker was a decent addition but the Jets have been short on offensive weapons for years now. It's time to address that. CB is a big need for them but it's time to finally get weapons and at least try and make your 2nd round pick from last year look like a serviceable QB. 19. Miami Dolphins - Taylor Lewan, OT, Michigan I don't know if you guys have heard, but the Dolphins didn't have a great O-line last year. On or off the field. Lewan is an incredibly athletic OT, but with questionable character (not what the Dolphins need) but Tannehill was the most sacked QB last year. I really think Tannehill has potential and he needs some help staying on his feet first. 20. Arizona Cardinals – Zack Martin, OL, Notre Dame Another team with a bad O-line. Carson Palmer's head-scratching decisions don't do him any favors, but his O-line doesn't do him any either. This O-line has been a work in progress for years now. Martin is a guy who can play everywhere on the line and hopefully Johnathan Cooper returns well and they can have a solid o-line. Martin has experience all over the O-line, probably plays on the right side with Veldheer and Cooper on the left. 21. Green Bay Packers - Calvin Pryor, FS, Louisville Packers fans all want a safety. Well here's your guy. Not as good as HaHa, but I think Pryor just might have a higher ceiling than Haha. Pryor plays a lot like Bob Sanders, so let's hope his career doesn't end up like his.22. Philadelphia Eagles – Anthony Barr, LB, UCLA Barr’s stock has been reportedly slipping. Why? I don’t know anymore. Seems like every day a kid’s stock slips for no apparent reason. Pass rushing 3-4 OLB isn’t a huge need for teams 8-21, so Barr could possibly drop here. Eagles need big help in pass rush and have expressed a lot of interest in Barr.23. Kansas City Chiefs – Marqise Lee, WR, USC As an Eagles fan, it feels weird mocking Andy Reid to pick a WR in the first round. Something he was apparently against ever since he drafted Freddie Mitchell over Reggie Wayne in 2001 until finally drafting Maclin in 09. Anyway, Reid has less say on personnel and while KC needs O-line help, I think they grab a WR from this WR class we keep hearing so much about. Lee can be a good WCO fit with his skill set.24. Cincinnati Bengals - Dee Ford, DE, Auburn With the loss of Michael Johnson, the Bengals need DE help. Ford is a raw pass rusher, but I think he can fit in here just fine.25. San Diego Chargers - Jason Verrett, CB, TCU Chargers biggest need. I was thinking WR here, but CB is just too weak to overlook here.26. Cleveland Browns - Derek Carr, QB, Fresno State Stop me if you've heard this before, but the Browns need a QB. I'm not Carr's biggest fan but I see him going here out of pure desperation from Cleveland. 27. New Orleans Saints - Ryan Shazier, LB, Ohio State Saints offense is just fine. Defense had a great year too, but the LB is the weak link. Shazier gives a good speedy dynamic to the Saints LBs that isn’t there right now. Probably fits in as a ILB with his size.28. Carolina Panthers – Odell Beckham, WR, LSU Maybe I was harsh on the Panthers WRs last mock, but c’mon, you guys are going to draft one. Not much explanation needed here. Reminds me a lot of Steve Smith too who I’m sure Carolina already misses.29. New England Patriots - Xavier Su'a-Filo, OG, UCLA Dan Connolly is hurt all the time, not to mention upgradeable in general as he is the weak link of the Pats O-line. He is also a free agent after next season. Pats fans may want a DT/NT here, but I think they address that later with XSF being available here.30. San Francisco 49ers - Kyle Fuller, CB, Virginia Tech Solid at everything you want in a CB, not great at any one aspect of the game which is why he's going late first. He has every chance to be another awesome 49ers draft pick, especially when the Niners really need some CB help and a potential star at the position would be a huge plus.31. Denver Broncos - CJ Mosley, LB, Alabama Easily the BPA here and Broncos need to strengthen their LB corps. Hopefully Von Miller has a bounce back year, because Miller and Mosley can be a real force.32. Seattle Seahawks - Allen Robinson, WR, Penn State Seattle lost Rice and Tate in the offseason, but they weren’t game-changers to begin with. Robinson is a solid, reliable WR that can compliment a “home run” hitter like Percy Harvin in Seattle’s offense with Baldwin and Kearse sticking to the roles that helped Seattle’s offense last year.Round 233. Houston Texans - Jimmy Garoppolo QB, Eastern Illinois34. Washington Redskins - Antonio Richardson, OT, Tennessee35. Cleveland Browns - Bradley Roby, CB, Ohio State36. Oakland Raiders - Morgan Moses OT, Virginia37. Atlanta Falcons - Jeremiah Attaochu DE, Georgia Tech38. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Jordan Matthews WR, Vanderbilt39. Jacksonville Jaguars - David Yankey OG, Stanford40. Minnesota Vikings – Kyle Van Noy, LB, BYU41. Buffalo Bills - Jimmie Ward, S, Northern Illinois42. Tennessee Titans - Marcus Roberson CB, Florida43. New York Giants - Jace Amaro TE, Texas Tech44. St. Louis Rams - LaMarcus Joyner CB, Florida State45. Detroit Lions – Joel Bitonio, OT, Nevada46. Pittsburgh Steelers - Scott Crichton, OLB/DE, Oregon St.47. Dallas Cowboys - Chris Borland LB, Wisconsin48. Baltimore Ravens - Deone Bucannon S, Washington State49. New York Jets - Trent Murphy DE, Stanford50. Miami Dolphins – Kelvin Benjamin, WR, FSU51. Chicago Bears - Dominique Easley DT, Florida52. Arizona Cardinals - Zach Mettenberger QB, LSU53. Green Bay Packers - Austin Seferian-Jenkins TE, Washington 54. Philadelphia Eagles – Davante Adams WR, Fresno State 55. Cincinnati Bengals - Carl Bradford OLB, Arizona State56. San Francisco 49ers – Jarvis Landry, WR, LSU57. San Diego Chargers - Gabe Jackson OG, Mississippi State58. New Orleans Saints – Marcus Martin, C, USC59. Indianapolis Colts - Stephon Tuitt DE, Notre Dame60. Carolina Panthers - Cyrus Kouandijo OT, Alabama61. San Francisco 49ers - Marcus Smith OLB, Louisville62. New England Patriots - Ra'Shede Hageman DT, Minnesota 63. Denver Broncos - Phillip Gaines CB, Rice64. Seattle Seahawks - Jack Mewhort OT, Ohio State Round 365. Houston Texans - Christian Jones LB, Florida State66. Washington Redskins - EJ Gaines CB, Missouri67. Oakland Raiders - Shane Skov LB, Stanford68. Atlanta Falcons - Billy Turner OT, North Dakota State69. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Aaron Murray QB, Georgia70. Jacksonville Jaguars - Paul Richardson WR, Colorado71. Cleveland Browns - Carlos Hyde RB, Ohio State72. Minnesota Vikings - Pierre Desir CB, Lindenwood73. Buffalo Bills - Yawin Smallwood LB, UConn74. New York Giants - Donte Moncrief WR, Ole Miss75. St. Louis Rams - Stanley Jean-Baptiste CB, Nebraska76. Detroit Lions - Will Sutton DT, Arizona State77. San Francisco 49ers - Tre Mason RB, Auburn78. Dallas Cowboys - Terrence Brooks FS, Florida State79. Baltimore Ravens – Devin Street, WR, Pittsburgh80. New York Jets - Keith McGill, CB, Utah81. Miami Dolphins - CJ Fiedorowicz TE, Iowa82. Jordan629 3 Posted April 18, 2014 (edited) Made a big boo boo I just found. I forgot to put Kyle Fuller in after I changed a pick. Fixing it now... edit: now fixed Edited April 18, 2014 by Jordan629
Dutch 874 Posted April 18, 2014 Interesting mock. I would be hype if Barr slipped to 22. I also was checking to see where Allen Robinson landed. I see you had him going to the Seahawks and partly because of the departure of a few WRs. Sidney Rice signed a 1 year deal with the Seahawks yesterday. Does that change that pick? Nah I don't think so. It's only a one year deal. And Rice is hurt all the time, wasn't even that great the one year in Seattle that he miraculously stayed healthy all season. әightninә. 39 Posted April 18, 2014 Why would the Colts take a defensive end when they just drafted Werner last year?
Jordan629 3 Posted April 18, 2014 Why would the Colts take a defensive end when they just drafted Werner last year? Werner plays OLB, no? Redding is a boss but Jean-Francois has been a bust signing thus far. I remember wanting the eagles to sign that guy, whew close call too. Tuitt is a 3-4 DE that can play over RJF hopefully and I love Redding but the dude isn't getting any younger.
Jordan629 3 Posted April 18, 2014 I like the Chargers draft...Fales is an interesting pick....care to elaborate on that? Kind of in the same way the Giants drafted Nassib last year. You're drafting a guy to groom as a backup and maybe even get some trade value out of down the line if he does get playing time and shows potential. Clemens isn't a guy you want on the field IMO. San Diego is a better offense than St. Louis but Clemens is still bad. Rivers is 33 now, might be a good idea to grab a guy in a decently deep QB draft right now. Weapon_X_20 1 Posted April 18, 2014 Only eagles pick I like is Barr and Reylonds and you took Reylonds to early.. I would be pissed with Adams
Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted April 20, 2014 I like Lamin Barrow and Mike Davis picks quite a bit for the Pack... The Guard pick I think is completely unnecessary and the value doesn't jump out at me enough to warrant it on a value perspective. Being that I like Barrow, I am not going to argue the Pryor pick due to need... Overall, I like it... . Nice job man
ATL_Predator+ 1,196 Posted April 20, 2014 One of the smarter Falcons mocks I've seen. I would be thrilled with this. Matthews, Attaochu, Turner, and Terrance West? If we got Terrance West...I would post a backflip vid on TGP. Failure or success.
CampinWithaMissingPerson 2,025 Posted April 20, 2014 Terrance West? He could end up being good but I'm not impressed at all.
DonovanMcnabb for H.O.F 2,241 Posted April 20, 2014 (edited) Also there's almost no circumstances where I see Ra'Shede Hageman falling to the bottom of the 2nd. Teams always fall in love with high potential guys. The draft is always a crap shoot... But still. Edited April 20, 2014 by DonovanMcnabb for H.O.F

Jordan629 3 Posted April 20, 2014 One of the smarter Falcons mocks I've seen. I would be thrilled with this. Matthews, Attaochu, Turner, and Terrance West? If we got Terrance West...I would post a backflip vid on TGP. Failure or success. I'd be jealous as hell if that really went down for you guys. If the Eagles somehow landed Attouchu and West I'd be ecstatic, trade Bryce Brown for... something so West can take his spot.
Bucman 891 Posted April 20, 2014 I can't see Carlos Hyde lasting that long. He will almost certainly be the first RB taken. Raiders seem to be in full blown win now mode, I think they pass on all the QBs. Probably take Watkins or Evans at 5 to give Schaub more weapons.
Cherry 1,302 Posted April 20, 2014 I like Ford and Bradford. James..Eh. Why the fuck would we take McCarron? He's Dalton 2.
Omerta+ 1,206 Posted April 20, 2014 I would be irate except for buchannon there, but I would rather have a few other dudes. That said the draft sometimes fucks you so this is not to say this cant happen but if the board fell like that I would be fucking angry.

Glanvilles Grits 142 Posted April 20, 2014 Great mock. The only issue I have is that I don't believe the Falcons escape the first 3 rounds without taking a free safety.
Jordan629 3 Posted April 20, 2014 I like Ford and Bradford. James..Eh. Why the fuck would we take McCarron? He's Dalton 2.0 I want to change it to Brett Smith and have Baltimore pick someone else that's not a QB. Think I might change it. I really don't like McCarron and I wouldn't be surprised if he isn't picked until the 6th.

CampinWithaMissingPerson 2,025 Posted April 27, 2014 I don't normally do this because I think critiquing mock drafts is kind of silly but I'm bored and everyone else does it so I'mma be a follower anyways and do it. Your Jags picks: 1) Teddy — obviously cool with that. 2) Yankey — meh... would of rather grabbed Van Noy that you have going the pick after him. Jags need both RG and LB, I'm not that impressed at all with Yankey, I am impressed with Van Noy so I would of rather grabbed him in your scenario. In fact in the way you had guys falling I would of rather had Van Noy in the 2nd and Dozier the OG in the 3rd. I personally think Dozier is better than Yankey 3) Richardson — I'd be fine with that. Hands are inconsistent but he's a game breaker, and the Jags certainly need any they can get. As I've said many times before reminds me of a poor man's DeSean Jackson. 4) Sims — meh... solid back but the Jags already have a backup back that can do what he does in Todman. Would of rather grabbed DaQuan Jones to backup and possibly start over Roy Miller. 4) Fleming — Jags are fine at OT with Joeckel and Pasztor. I guess for depth that's cool though. BUT... you have Weston Richburg going after Fleming here and the Jags are absolutely desperate in their need for a Center and to pass on him for a backup OT doesn't make sense.
