Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted December 16, 2014 (edited) the next time your bench wins you a fantasy game let me know, in the mean time I'll have fun beating your starters That's what I'm saying... It does no good to haave a superior roster from top to bottom. Your bench is pretty much full of horrible players, so it's easy for you to get maximum points from your team every week. My team has superior talent from top to bottom so it there is a much larger chance that my biggest producers from week to week are on the bench.. I simply have too many options. Whether I win or lose, it's important for everyone to know that my team is the best.. And if you win, I expect my team to be crowned anyway. If I make a fatal mistake where a bench player becomes the difference between me winning and losing... I will live with that mistake. I will congratulate your empty victory, and I will also live with the fact that I truly am the champion of TGPs ESPN League of 2014. I am ready to lose by 100. oochymp 2,393 Posted December 17, 2014 way to take all the fun out of trash talk, and you can say all you want about having a better team top to bottom, though I'm not convinced is actually true, guys like Pierre Garcon and Doug Baldwin aren't garbage, they're not great, but they're not garbage, and I'd be fine starting them if they weren't behind Sanders, Benjamin, and Wallace, and compared to your apparently unimaginably good bench includes the likes of Kendall Wright (solid actual WR, but nobody on the Titans is worth owning in fantasy at this point) Stevie Johnson, Trent Richardson, and Khiry Robinson, plus half of the challenge of fantasy is picking the right players to start, even a guy like Charles Sims (with ten points on my bench last week) can put together a decent game from time to time

Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted December 17, 2014 Yet you sound confused enough to be my opponent.
oochymp 2,393 Posted December 17, 2014 not confused, just disappointed that you suck so much at trash talk, you're not even doing the "trash talk by compliment" right, you're trying more of a "trash talk through self-deprecation," which just comes across as sad
Thanatos 2,847 Posted December 17, 2014 http://www.wsj.com/articles/andrew-luck-the-nfls-most-perplexing-trash-talker-1418663249 That is awesome, lol. Makes me like the guy a bit more.
oochymp 2,393 Posted December 19, 2014 (edited) I had trouble leaving Gerhart on the bench last night, but couldn't justify starting him over Herron or Thomas, wasn't sure Gerhart would get enough even with Robinson out since Todman and Johnson have both proven capable, sure enough Gerhart put up 12 points, which is about what I'm hoping for from Herron and Thomas at least JD had Kendall Wright put up 11 on his bench, but I'm not sure anyone would have even considered starting him this week Edited December 19, 2014 by oochymp
Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted December 19, 2014 (edited) I wanted to start him, but according to you, nobody starts Kendall Wright... I am fine starting Randall Cobb and Josh Gordon over him tho, even if they don't outscore him, I am fine with that decision regardless. Arian Foster and his ongoing secretive status is always something that has me on the ropes until the game starts. It should be noted that you are a 7 point favorite. The matchup could very well come down to Jeremy Hill VS Emmanuel Sanders on MNF, considering everything else goes as planned. I am actually worried about both my Lions DST and Matthew Stafford. Normally playing the Bears would be great for me, but with the recent shakeup in Chicago, maybe they play with more fire than usual and actually give the Lions a fit... It's also tough because, I actually would LOVE for Clausen to destroy the Lions and for them to look horrible for the Packers chances at the #2 seed. You are also heavily relying on the Saints. If the Falcons lock down the Saints (haha, ya right), this championship is all but mine.I am really struggling with Jeremy Hill VS Torrey Smith tho. Hill playing the Broncos who are giving up the 8th fewest fantasy points to RBs, while Smith is playing the team that gives up the 2nd most points to WR in the Texans. Both guys are really streaky, too... I just don't know. ;( Edited December 19, 2014 by Favre4Ever

I'm actually hoping for that, would make MNF a lot more interesting
oochymp 2,393 Posted December 21, 2014 well, unless the Saints figure something out at halftime you'll probably end up taking this pretty easily
oochymp 2,393 Posted December 22, 2014 (edited) Congrats JD, barring a herculean effort from Sanders tomorrow it looks like you've got this, we both left a lot of points on the bench tho Edited December 22, 2014 by oochymp
Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted December 22, 2014 I knew I should have started Torrey... lol. Sanders has had some big games before though, so I am not polishing the trophy quite yet.

oochymp 2,393 Posted December 23, 2014 evil empire, nice analogy, but yeah, this game's over
Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted December 23, 2014 Took out the #1 and #2 seeds as the highest scorer (of all teams) in the final week... Doesn't get much better than that right there. Feels good to be the best!
