Vin+ 3,121 Posted July 23, 2014 Broncos owner Pat Bowlen has given up control of the team as he battles Alzheimer's disease. The 70-year-old Bowlen has owned the Broncos for 30 years, establishing himself as one of the game's iconic executives while going to the Super Bowl six times and winning twice. "It's a really, really sad day," said team president Joe Ellis, who is assuming control of the Broncos. "It's sad for his family, his wife and his seven children. It's sad for everyone in the organization. And it's sad for all the Bronco fans who know what Pat Bowlen meant to them as an owner. It's a day nobody wanted to see happen." theMileHighGuy 656 Posted July 24, 2014 He's been on the slide for a couple years now. Tough watching him get to this point. Never thought I'd see the day that Mr. B wasn't at the head of the table anymore. Hope the rest of his life is comfortable, he deserves it.
