That's too bad they were busted together. They are kinda the only full load backs on the team after a year of being depleted last year and starting Felix Jones. They'll have to gamble on somebody now.
Glanvilles Grits 142 Posted August 21, 2014 Whats worse than losing your stud starting running back? Losing his back-up as well, in the same stop. I feel like the more stories we see like this, the dumber the players continue to get. For the Steelers sake, I hope neither of these guys get suspensions. Zack_of_Steel+ 3,014 Posted August 21, 2014 (edited) Dumb motherfuckers will likely get 1 year bans because Goodell ain' like him no Steeler boys. And BC, 20 grams is not even an ounce, you moron. For all the talk you do regarding how blazed you get, you're sure clueless as to the amount of weed it takes to smoke every day for five months. They probably just picked up and smoked a couple blunts out of it. I bet they still get less games than Ray Rice. LOLNFL

butta54 371 Posted August 21, 2014 http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000381295/article/leveon-bell-legarrette-blount-taken-into-custody If you haven't heard, the above article reports on the arrest of two Steelers' running backs Le'Veon Bell and LeGarrette Blount for possesion of marijuana yesterday afternoon. I personally extremely disappointed when I heard this news. I wasn't suprised, but I was disappointed because Blount was one of my favorite runners last year with New England and I was very interested to see him and Bell double team the Steelers' hard nose run attack. I would like to hear about a few points from you... -At this point how harsh should the league treat marijuana violations with so many states legalizing it for medical purposes? -If the Steelers find some replacements who do a solid/good job should they look at cutting either Bell or Blount? -How do you want your team dealing with similar violations? Zack_of_Steel+ 3,014 Posted August 21, 2014 From what I'm seeing, they likely won't be suspended, if at all, until after the shit goes through court. Could play all year, possibly.
butta54 371 Posted August 22, 2014 Cute thread. Welcome to nearly 24 hours ago. http://www.thegridironpalace.com/forums/index.php?/topic/70583-legarette-blount-leveon-bell-caught-posessin-green/ Yeah I don't go cruising through the local AFC North topics before I post things so.... Anyway, I was listening to Chris Carter talk about this and I tend to agree with the overall thought that if you want something bad enough you will follow the rules and do what you have to do even if you don't agree. As a coach I want guys who want to play and at the professional level it has to be a passion. I'm not really about debating weed being legal and blah blah, but I think that there are certain rules that should remain in the league for the simple purpose of weeding out (no pun) the guys who aren't ready to sacrifice in order to be seize this opportunity and be the best they can be. If you seriously need it then you will have a medical pass, otherwise its recreational and that means you need to show the maturity and discipline to say no until after the season and when you are in a safe place to do it. Vin+ 3,121 Posted December 11, 2014 LeGarrette Blount has been ordered to perform 50 hours of community service as a result of his August marijuana arrest. The charge will be dropped if he completes the 50 hours by February 4. This now clears the way for the NFL to hand down punishment, though we're uncertain if any will come after the revised personal-conduct policy. If Blount is suspended at all, it likely won't come into effect until the 2015 season. Source: Pittsburgh Post-Gazette

BLUE 1,026 Posted February 6, 2015 Per Rotoworld.com: Le'Veon Bell was sentenced to 15 months probation as a result of his August DUI arrest. Bell was also arrested for possession of marijuana back on that day in August. The DUI is the real concern here because, as stated in the league's new substance-abuse policy, Bell is subject to a two-game ban as a first-time offender. While the league softened its stance against marijuana, it heightened penalties against DUI. With the matter settled in court, commissioner Roger Goodell can hand out his punishment. Bell could be suspended this upcoming season. Feb 6 - 12:25 PM Source: Pittsburgh Post-Gazette
