Vin+ 3,121 Posted August 28, 2014 Cardinals signed DT Tommy Kelly. Kelly, entering his age-34 season, was cut by the Patriots on Sunday. Once a strong interior pass rusher with the Raiders, Kelly is trying to come back from a torn ACL. He'll try and earn a roster spot before final cuts on Saturday. seanbrock 1,684 Posted August 28, 2014 With Darnell Dockett out for the year it makes sense to at least bring a guy like Kelly in for a look. Good sign by the Cards here.
KempBolt 498 Posted August 29, 2014 The Jared Gaither of the defense line as it were.
Dutch 874 Posted August 30, 2014 The injuries the Cardinals have sucks so bad... I really liked this team and had good hopes for them in year 2 under Arian's but they endured some tough losses on the defensive side.

I really liked this team and had good hopes for them in year 2 under Arian's but they endured some tough losses on the defensive side. I'll feel sorry for them starting in week two. BTW, I just rewatched our 4th preseason game against them. Jonathan Cooper started (not a good sign). Then he got punked by a 4th stringer for a sack (terrible sign). He ain't right. I like Veldheer, but the rest of that line is suspect.
butta54 371 Posted September 2, 2014 Anyone know what happened with John Cooper? Top 10 first round pick on the bench now
KempBolt 498 Posted September 2, 2014 Anyone know what happened with John Cooper? Top 10 first round pick on the bench now Broken leg obviously ended his rookie year before it ever started and he hasn't come back nearly the same. Track record for broken legs is not great for offensive linemen. Chas Alecxih, who is currently on our practice squad, whooped Cooper in our 4th preseason game against him. I know about his rookie year. I heard coming into training camp that he was healthy and then after that I heard a little about him not playing up to speed. Has his play been that bad?? He was supposed to be a big piece for their offense this year.

I didn't hear good things about his camp and preseason weeks 1-3, but he looked like crap against our scrubs.
