BC 331 Posted November 7, 2014 I agree with Hillman and OBJ. OBJ is a phenomenon. The Colts have Vontae Davis and OBJ still managed to have a solid game. He moves around and won't be under Sherman all game. Not only that, but everybody else on that corps, Preston Parker, Rueben Randle, Larry Donnell were dropping passes all over the place. OBJ is the man in that offense at this point. Also, the Seahawks' defense isn't in as good a position to dominate as you might think. Bobby Wagner and Malcolm Smith have already been ruled out. Kam Chancellor missed practice today and tends to be one of the more brittle players on the team. He sat last week and might this week leaving the middle wide open. Jeremy Lane looks like he's about ready to return, but Byron Maxwell, Tharold Simon who the heck knows. Long story short, the candidates to impact OBJ's game on Sunday are Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas, and a bunch of questionable guys. http://espn.go.com/blog/nfcwest/post/_/id/116312/baldwin-okung-and-maxwell-return-to-practice Here is my dilemma. Carson Palmer vs. STL Mark Sanchez vs CAR Joe Flacco vs TEN Must start 1.
theMileHighGuy 656 Posted November 7, 2014 Hillman has been crazy productive from a fantasy standpoint since he's been starting. His only game without a TD so far he had 100+ rushing yards and 60+ receiving yards. Juwan Thompson may vulture a TD, but the matchup is great as they'll be playing angry vs. the raiders and Ronnie is the unquestioned starter. He had 10 rushes for 16 yards against the Pats, and still had 20+ fantasy points.
Thanatos 2,847 Posted November 7, 2014 @BC: Flacco easily.
oochymp 2,393 Posted November 7, 2014 I'm starting Palmer in the auction league as a bye week plug in, he's had at least 249 yards each of the last four weeks (329 week before last) and at least 2 tds each of the last four weeks (3 last week)
SteVo+ 3,702 Posted November 8, 2014 FLEX: Darren Sproles vs. CAR, or Martavius Bryant vs. NJY?
Vin+ 3,121 Posted November 8, 2014 Probably Bryant until he or Ben cools off.
BC 331 Posted November 13, 2014 Jerick Mckinnon - @chi Brandon Oliver - oak
Vin+ 3,121 Posted November 13, 2014 Ew. McKinnon probably. Ryan Mathews is back this week, so I think McKinnon is a safer bet for carries.
Bay 2,003 Posted November 14, 2014 Ew. McKinnon probably. Ryan Mathews is back this week, so I think McKinnon is a safer bet for carries. Wish I knew that before I picked up Oliver.
Thanatos 2,847 Posted November 19, 2014 (edited) Got two questions. Both are in PPR leagues. They are basically lined up in the order I'd put them, I think. Pick one, (remember Megatron will be on Revis Island, perhaps): Calvin Johnson vs NE Davante Adams vs MIN Kenny Stills vs BAL Keenan Allen vs STL Brandon LaFell vs DET Here I'm really leaning towards Adams. I can hardly believe it myself, but Megatron was all but shut down by Patrick Peterson last week and Revis is better than Peterson. I don't know what to do here at all. Pick one again: Steve Smith vs NO Ryan Mathews vs STL Darren Sproles vs TEN Brandon LaFell vs DET John Brown vs SEA Alfred Blue vs CIN I have Foster starting already in this league, so if Foster ends up sitting, this one becomes a pick two. Not sure that Blue is at all worth it if Foster is in, though ESPN does project him to get 10 points. I'm leaning towards Smith atm, but Ryan Mathews is very tempting. Vin+ 3,121 Posted November 19, 2014 The entire Lions offense kinda sucked last week, so it wasn't just Megatron. A 5/59 PPR statline isn't bad, and I'd still go with him. If you feel the need to go someone else I'd go: Allen LaFell Stills (Might pick up some of Cooks targets, or he might not) Adams (You're essentially banking on him scoring a TD, as he's only had three catches combined in the past two weeks) For the second: I think you go John Brown if one, and John Brown and Mathews if two. CribbsForTheWin 117 Posted November 25, 2014 Huge game for me this week. If I win, I get first place in the league and automatically win 160 dollars. PPR League. I need to pick 2 RBs 2 WRs and a FLEX 2 RB Mark Ingram @ Pit (11th against RBs) Justin Forsett vs SD (18th against RBs) Ryan Mathews @ Bal (3rd against RBs) Denard Robinson vs NYG (31st against RBs) Tre Mason vs Oak (29th against RBs) I think the only one I'm really sold on is Forsett from above. Other than that Ingram struggled this past week as did Denard and Tre. Matthews had a good day but left with an injury and has a tough matchup this week. I think I'm leaning towards Denard currently. 2 WR AJ Green @ TB (27th against WRs) Jeremy Maclin @ Dal (6th against WRs) Josh Gordon @ Buf (14th against WRs) Martavis Bryant vs NO (26th aginst WRs) Gordon and Green both had good weeks last week and should again this week, so I am leaning towards those two. I only really put this because I also have a FLEX spot so you can choose one of the leftovers from above. Maclin is still getting the targets, but his production has been down with Sanchez and he has a tough matchup (but I would like to root for someone on Thursday). Martavis Bryant had a bad week the other week, but had a bunch of targets still. FLEX Do I get cute and play a matchup here (Tre Mason/Martavis Bryant), or do I play the best player that I have left (Mark Ingram/Jeremy Maclin/Ryan Mathews). FartWaffles 1,857 Posted December 10, 2014 Need help picking my flex since Cam Newton is out. Kyle Orton vs. Tre Mason vs. Daniel Herron vs. Shane Vereen vs. Josh Gordon vs. Kenny Stills @ Standard scoring. Leaning toward Herron. Thoughts?
RazorStar 4,025 Posted December 11, 2014 Isn't Gordon the obvious choice? Or am I missing something?
Vin+ 3,121 Posted December 11, 2014 Gordon is a no-brainer, but then I remembered that Johnny Foosball is starting. I'd probably go Orton here.
FartWaffles 1,857 Posted December 11, 2014 Isn't Gordon the obvious choice? Or am I missing something? The reports that he is noticeably out of shape are discouraging IMO. Gordon is a no-brainer, but then I remembered that Johnny Foosball is starting. I'd probably go Orton here. Manziel starting doesn't really concern me when it comes to Gordon. (see above) I also considered Orton, solely because he plays quarterback.
oochymp 2,393 Posted December 11, 2014 I'd lean toward the qb in most scoring systems, what's yours?
FartWaffles 1,857 Posted December 11, 2014 (edited) I'd lean toward the qb in most scoring systems, what's yours? Just straight standard scoring. I'm obviously starting Aaron Rodgers, and for most of the season I've put Cam in the flex. Orton is my third QB and Fitzpatrick is available on waivers. QBs generally score more than any other position, but I'm not a fan of the matchups those two QBs are facing this week. oochymp 2,393 Posted December 11, 2014 (edited) Just straight standard scoring. then Orton is a no brainer, and it helps that Green Bay is deceptively bad in pass defense (probably because they play with a lead) they're 20th in the league in pass yards allowed at 245/game and 21st in TDs allowed with 23, consider that 245 passing yards is equivalent to 120 rushing/receiving yards in standard scoring Edited December 11, 2014 by oochymp
FartWaffles 1,857 Posted December 12, 2014 Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm gonna go with oochy and flex Kyle Orton this week.
