oochymp 2,393 Posted September 16, 2014 Anheuser-Busch 'not yet satisfied' with NFL's handling of recent player conduct - ESPN "We are disappointed and increasingly concerned by the recent incidents that have overshadowed this NFL season. We are not yet satisfied with the league's handling of behaviors that so clearly go against our own company culture and moral code. We have shared our concerns and expectations with the league." This is huge, the NFL has to listen to money and if they're saying this publicly you can only imagine the pressure they're putting on the league privately, and this is coming from one of the NFL's biggest sponsors
FartWaffles 1,857 Posted September 16, 2014 Funny coming from a company that supplies the product(s) that I'm sure more than a few woman/child beaters are under the influence of when they commit their evil deeds. All kidding aside, the last thing the NFL wants to do is lose Anheuser-Busch as a client. Will be interesting how they for lack of a better word tackle this Adrian Peterson situation.
SteVo+ 3,702 Posted September 17, 2014 Anheuser-Busch commits about $200 million a year in rights fees and additional advertising to the NFL and is in the fourth year of a six-year deal it signed in 2011 that makes Bud Light the official beer of the league. In the last year, more Bud Light has been sold in the United States than any other beer ($5.28 billion at retail). One out of every five beers bought is a Bud Light. Anheuser-Busch also has paid to lock up the rights as the exclusive beer advertiser of the Super Bowl broadcast for the past 28 years. From 2009 to 2013, the company spent $149 million on advertising for the game, according to Nielsen. Finally, something the league has to take seriously. butta54 371 Posted September 17, 2014 I personally don't buy any of these major sponsors pulling off anything long-term. PR PR PR PR PR everywhere from every company and sports media journalist. Companies will release statements and temporarily pull money or sponsorship until things cool down. Business only care about money. If the public was not lashing out, then there would be not one discussion of pulling away from the NFL.

seanbrock 1,684 Posted September 18, 2014 I agree with GA and butta, but the NFL is going to want to act quickly before any more statements like this come out.
