BLUE 1,026 Posted September 22, 2014 Per Rotoworld.com: Eagles C Jason Kelce needs surgery to repair a sports hernia. It's the latest blow to a mangled Eagles offensive line. Kelce will reportedly be out 6-8 weeks, leaving David Molk to step in at center. This is a unit that was already without RT Lane Johnson (4-game suspension), RT Allen Barbre (ankle) and stud LG Evan Mathis (knee). An offensive line that was nothing short of dominant last season is now playing at a bottom-five level. SteVo+ 3,702 Posted September 22, 2014 Not good. So we'll be without three starters against San Fran (provided Peters doesn't get suspended), then Johnson comes back from suspension and we're two starters down for about 5-8 weeks. This is gonna be a rough stretch that will challenge Chip Kelly's creativity on offense. Oh, and fantasy owners, now is a great time to trade LeSean McCoy if someone is willing to pay for him. BLUE 1,026 Posted October 1, 2014 (edited) Per Rotoworld.com: Eagles C Jason Kelce (sports hernia surgery) is expected to return in Week 10. Kelce has "progressed well" from surgery and could end up missing only five games. His return will be a major upgrade for an offensive line that's struggled to run block. The Eagles will also get RT Lane Johnson (four-game suspension) back this week. Vin+ 3,121 Posted October 28, 2014 According to the Philadelphia Inquirer, it's "pretty much a certainty" that C Jason Kelce (sports-hernia surgery) returns for Sunday's game against the Texans. Speaking Tuesday, Kelce called himself a game-time decision, but he's been running with the first-team offense in this week's practices. Barring a setback, he should be active for the first time since Week 3. It's excellent timing with RG Todd Herremans battling a biceps injury.
