Vin+ 3,121 Posted November 25, 2014 Broncos waived K Brandon McManus. The Super Bowl-contending Broncos simply couldn't stick with McManus any longer, as he'd missed four of his first 13 field-goal attempts, including one in Sunday's win over the Dolphins. Only 23, McManus should spend at least a few more years hanging around the fringes of the league. Source: Denver Post Broncos signed K Connor Barth. He'll replace second-year undrafted free agent Brandon McManus, who's been waived after missing four of his first 13 field-goal attempts. Barth has been accurate throughout his career with a big leg, but missed all of 2013 with an Achilles' injury. He was released by the Bucs at final cuts. Provided he's healthy, Barth will be a weekly fantasy option for the Broncos' high-scoring offense. Source: Denver Post

BwareDWare94 723 Posted November 27, 2014 AND.... This is why you don't release a great kicker just because a kid can put kickoffs in the stands.
seanbrock 1,684 Posted December 2, 2014 If the Eagles still had Alex Henery instead of Cody Parkey there is no way we'd be 9-3 right now. Kicker's can be so important to a team's success, especially in the playoffs where there tend to be more close games against good defenses.
FartWaffles 1,857 Posted December 6, 2014 Broncos just re-signed McManus solely for kickoff duties
Cherry 1,302 Posted December 6, 2014 If only they had a great kicker who could set the NFL record for longest kick and play consistently good. Oh wait.
