Vin+ 3,121 Posted January 23, 2015 Jets named Kacy Rodgers their defensive coordinator. If the Dolphins were smart, they would've ousted Kevin Coyle and made Rodgers their defensive coordinator. Instead, Rodgers departs to re-team with Todd Bowles. Both are Bill Parcells disciples. One of the top D-Line gurus in football, Rodgers coached up Olivier Vernon, Cam Wake, and Jared Odrick in Miami, while getting career-best years from Randy Starks and Paul Soliai. I would fail a "Know Your NFL Coordinators/Assistants" quiz.

oochymp 2,393 Posted January 23, 2015 let's put that in perspective: each team has two coordinators, that's 64 coordinators in the league, and so many assistants, I initially wanted to guess 6-7, then I started counting out position coaches and came up with 8-10, then realized I'm on the internet and looked up the Titans coaching staff which lists 16 assistants (along with two coordinators and a strength and conditioning coach) assuming that's average, that means there are over 500 assistant coaches, who could reasonably be expected to know all of them? I have a hard enough time remembering all 32 head coaches
