WHO WANTS TO BE DEPRESSED? LOOK AT THIS SHIT.

Let's start with the less depressing part: Pitching staff.

1. Julio Teheran

2. Alex Wood

3. Mike Minor

4. Shelby Miller

5. Mike Foltynewicz/Manny Banuelos/Eric Stults/Wandy Rodriguez/James Russell/Ghost of Warren Spahn

Jim Johnson

Jason Grilli (likely to set up)

James Russell (definitely ends up in here)

Matt Capps?

Someone who failed to get the 5th rotation spot?

Luis Avilan

Arodys Vizcaino

Juan Jaime?

Craig Kimbrel

"Lineup" (how I think it shakes out)

1. Nick Markakis RF

2. Alberto Callaspo 2B

3. Freddie Freeman 1B

4. Chris Johnson 3B

5. Jonny Gomes LF

6. BJ Upton CF

7. Andrelton Simmons SS

8. Christian Bethancourt C

Bench options:

Fuckface Pierzynski C

Jace Peterson INF

Zoilo Almonte OF

Dian Toscano OF

Tyler Pastornicky INF

Phil Gosselin INF

Jose Constanza OF

Mookie Betts CF

Pedroia 2B

Hanley Ramirez LF

Ortiz DH

Napoli 1B

Sandoval 3B

Rusney Castillo RF

Xander Bogaerts SS

Christian Vazquez C

I can't wait to see this lineup everyday. We're gonna score a ton of runs. Bogaerts hitting 8th is ridiculous.

Pitching sucks tho

Porcello

Wade Miley

Justin Masterson

Joe Kelly

Clay I fucking suck Buchholz

I don't think we'll be that good, maybe 85 wins but we'll be entertaining at least. I'm most excited to watch the development of Mookie and Xander. For me, following prospects through the minors then watching them play and hopefully succeed in the pros is the best part of being a baseball fan, I love it. I have high hopes for those 2, Blake Swihart is the other big prospect that may come up this year.

Ton of battles so far. Edwin was supposed to be favored for the DH spot but Dioner Navarro is returning so that will make things interesting. Bullpen wise it's between Brett, and Sanchez for the closers' spot, as Casey Janssen is now on Washington.

Most of our guys reported a week ago! Been hard at it! Should be interesting to see how Wacha returns to the lineup and if Carlos Martinez can finally take that next step. Jason Heyward so sexy out there

I'm really not sure what to make of the Pirates headed into this year. I think we'll still contend for a playoff spot though. I could see anything from 82-88 wins. I guess I'll go right in the middle and say 85 wins. Barely missing out on the playoffs this year. But here's hoping I'm wrong and we win 88-90 games and make it.

I can't wait to see our outfield this year though. I really think we have a shot to be the best outfield in baseball taking everything into account. We'll likely be the best defensive outfield by a comfortable margin. And while we may not produce the most offense, we'll still be in the top 5.

It may have only been two innings but Matt Harvey pitched well. So long as he is slowly reintroduced I'd expect a solid year from him

Yu Darvish (elbow) will undergo Tommy John surgery on Tuesday in Pensacola, Florida.
Dr. James Andrews will perform the procedure. Darvish understandably wanted to get a few opinions before officially deciding to have the operation, but this news was inevitable. The right-hander will miss all of the 2015 season and almost surely the beginning of 2016, as well. It's obviously a massive blow to a Rangers squad looking to bounce back from a disappointing 2014 campaign. Mar 13 - 12:37 PM

Matty sad.

Mets have looked good so far in spring training, The pitching especially Jacob DeGrom has been really nice to watch, also good too see Matt Harvey looking alright after Tommy Johns surgery.

John Mayberry Jr also has impressed me more than I thought he would.

The Mets literally can never catch a break.

At least they still have strong pitching depth overall though with Harvey, Syndergaard, deGrom, Niese, Fat Colon, Gee, etc...

MLB just needs to up its efforts to market baseball toward younger fans. They're trying now at least. But it'll be a few years until it pays off.

Can't wait for the season to start. Mookie is gonna be so awesome. I know there's gonna be a learning curve and it's not good to have too high expectations for rookies, but this kid is gonna be special.
