badgers 380 Posted March 11, 2015 (edited) Good job by the Packers retaining their two big FAs. Yeah but now that House has been gone to Jacksonville I think that Tramon Williams becomes an automatic 3rd big FA. I don't see any way how we can be safe going into next year with Shields and ... Hayward? As our starting CBs. Should also mention, that by this post, the Suh signing is not confirmed. That's just what everybody's saying it's going to be and I haven't heard anything contradicting that so I put it up there considering how big that is for the division. badgers 380 Posted March 11, 2015 (edited) Suh has officially signed to play for the Miami Dolphins. Also updated a few things that were incorrect info when I first added it. Edited March 11, 2015 by badgers
Packers Dynasty 2010 116 Posted March 11, 2015 Thompson is a genius, Bulaga's average year salary ranks 24th among tackles. Sure he is a right tackle but thats crazy as he is one of the better tackles. Shows winning is important to Bulaga and Cobb and there is a big chip on this team's shoulder. Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted March 11, 2015 We got two amazing discounts from two amazing top tier talents... I dunno how we did it, but we did. Randall Cobb is the best slot WR in the league and Bulaga is probably a Top 3ish RT... Tramon Williams is trash, and we don't need him. I wish the Texans didn't swipe Jumal Rolle from us... I really like that Tolzien will be back as well.
FartWaffles 1,857 Posted March 11, 2015 I wish the Texans didn't swipe Jumal Rolle from us... I'm a fan of Rolle. I think he has a bright future ahead of him. He could easily be our starting nickel corner this year. Will be a good competition to watch between him, Darryl Morris, and Andre Hal.

Will be a good competition to watch between him, Darryl Morris, and Andre Hal. Yup, young talented guy I was watching with quite a bit of excitement. Still rooting for him to do well and keep developing, just wish it was with us. ha. Also reading the Packers are still pursuing Percy Harvin... Wut. He'd have to come cheap and mostly be a gadget player / KR... My guess is he will want more money and a bigger role, both of which I don't think the Packers will offer. badgers 380 Posted March 14, 2015 Updated, and Greg Jennings was just released by Minnesota. I won't put him on lost for them until he signs with someone.
Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted March 14, 2015 Oakland seems to be headed towards an Amari Cooper-esquee move in the draft. I wonder if they will be interested to pair him back up with James Jones?
DonovanMcnabb for H.O.F 2,241 Posted March 14, 2015 With Mike Wallace coming to the Vikings, it might take a while for him to fit. In Pittsburgh he was more then just a one trick pony, but I stopped paying attention to him when he left for Miami. He might limit himself if he doesn't run the full route tree in Minnesota as TB's deep ball, while not bad isn't great just yet.
badgers 380 Posted March 14, 2015 Getting rid of Jennings didn't make sense to me. He was a good leader in the locker room, said he would try to help Patterson (just so happens that one of the worst of Patterson's abilities, route running, is something Jennings has always been lauded for), and was still productive and just beginning to get chemistry going with Bridgewater. He won't be on the market for too long I don't think. Looking at Miami, for a reunion with Philbin as well as a team on the rise with a good young QB to take a good look at Jennings. Maybe the Chiefs also. And I also don't know how good of a fit Mike Wallace is in Minnesota. Ever since Pittsburgh he's been really up and down. Some can be attributed to Tannehill's streaky development but still. You'd think that a guy once regarded as a franchise receiver would be able to have a better impact than he's had in Miami. FartWaffles 1,857 Posted March 14, 2015 Texans need a reliable slot receiver badly. Come to Houston Greg! Put da team on yo back doe!
OSUViking 505 Posted March 15, 2015 I'd honestly rather have kept Jennings. Again, I'll let Wallace prove me wrong.
badgers 380 Posted March 16, 2015 Tramon Williams signed with the Browns. That's a lot of money which I would not have been comfortable paying but damn. We just lost our only two physical corners. We've got a lot of unproven talent at CB now. Shields didn't play as well last year as he had in the past, and Hayward has never gotten time on the outside covering bigger receivers. Hyde is more of a slot guy who also plays safety, so we don't know how he can cover receivers either. Then we got some guy drafted last year who, iirc, people said should not have even made the team he did so badly in preseason. Really grateful for Tramon's time with us. He gets a lot of shit from the fans but he was one our more reliable cornerbacks for the last decade, with Al Harris and Charles Woodson.
Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted March 16, 2015 Ya, no way we could have justified that contract. CB went from a huge strength to a point of weakness. Definitely going to be looking for a bigger, more stout CB in the draft this year. Although this probably means MIcah Hyde moves to corner again -- probably to play the slot while Casey moves outside.
Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted March 17, 2015 Greg Jennings says he would love to reconcile with the Packers, feels bad about how he left, and that his ego was hurt. Lol.
badgers 380 Posted March 27, 2015 Updated. Not many big signings, but the Vikings got Terrance Newman and some guy from Poland. He has been playing basketball there or something. Bears picking up lots of guys on one year contracts. Some of the names could be prove it deals, some could just be filling the void for a year. Packers doing nothing, as usual, and the Lions doing not too much either.
Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted March 27, 2015 Vikings also picked up Casey Matthews and Taylor Mays. Packers did sign their first FA though... Young corner who grew up in Wisconsin and was on the Giants' PS for a little while
Packers Dynasty 2010 116 Posted March 31, 2015 (edited) Signed Guion for $2.75 million as well as Raji for $3.5 million. Nice to get some bodies and Guion did play well last season. I cannot comprehend how Raji still gets this much. Looking at Wilfork get $4.5 million or Terrance Knighton getting $4 million, really overpaying Raji. Makes no sense... Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted March 31, 2015 Nice to have them back.. I hope Raji can not suck for the first time since the Super Bowl. I still think we should invest in the NT position in the draft though. With both of them on one year deals, both could easily be on their way out of town.
