SteVo+ 3,702 Posted March 15, 2015 Kelly came out publicly and said Bradford is our starting QB. He also shot down the Mariota trade rumors. I know it's commonplace for NFL coaches/GMs to say one thing and do another, but if the Eagles turn around and trade Bradford, I think Chip Kelly's credibility is gone. After the chaos of free agency with trading LeSean McCoy and maybe Evan Mathis, what will players think of him?
Favre4Ever+ 4,476 Posted March 15, 2015 He'd probably pull a line like... " That was true at the time. We didn't think a deal like this would be possible "
oochymp 2,393 Posted March 15, 2015 I think it's more likely that Kelly ships Bradford to the Browns for an extra 1st round pick and uses that as ammo to a team like the Titans. that wouldn't make a lot of sense for a team that spent a first round pick on a QB last year and signed one of the best QBs that came available in free agency, but I guess weirder things have happened and to SteVo's comment about Kelly's credibility I think Kelly has already pretty much established his approach:

You can't tell me the Browns actually feel comfortable going into the season with McCown as the starter or with that QB situation at all. It doesn't matter that they spent a 1st on Manziel last year. The guy is a loser, probably never going to do anything -- the Browns know that. They have an extra 1 from Buffalo. It's not like they are every all that smart, so just maybe what doesn't make sense should.
oochymp 2,393 Posted March 15, 2015 The guy is a loser, probably never going to do anything -- the Browns know that. you're definitely right about part A, and probably right about part B, but that doesn't mean that the Browns want to publicly announce that they blew a first round pick last year, like I said, weirder things have happened, but it would still be weird IMO to see the Browns give up a first rounder for Bradford
Vin+ 3,121 Posted March 18, 2015 ESPN's Adam Caplan confirms the Browns offered a first-round pick for Sam Bradford. Per Caplan, the Browns offered their second first rounder, the No. 19 overall selection. The Browns also own the No. 12 pick. It's unclear if the offer came before or after Bradford's trade to Philadelphia. Owner Jimmy Haslam seems hellbent on finding a "franchise quarterback," but only has Josh McCown to show for it. This is something to file away in case Oregon QB Marcus Mariota falls to No. 12. Perhaps Eagles football czar Chip Kelly would then be willing to play ball with the Browns. oochymp 2,393 Posted March 18, 2015 I'll be shocked if Mariota falls to
Dutch 874 Posted April 18, 2015 I was able to find a 5 minute highlight video of Braford Braford was dropping those deep balls in buckets
Vin+ 3,121 Posted May 29, 2015 The Philadelphia Inquirer reports Sam Bradford (ACL) was walking with a "pronounced limp" on Thursday. Bradford and the Eagles have continued to insist that he's progressing on schedule, but this is a player whose health can never be taken for granted. Bradford will supposedly resume 7-on-7 work next week. Coach Chip Kelly has declined to put a timetable on Bradford's return to full health, but it's clear the team's expectation is that he'll be ready for training camp.
