oochymp 2,393 Posted March 12, 2015 anyway, this makes a lot of sense for the Saints just because of their cap situation, Graham was their fifth biggest cap yet, yes he's a huge difference maker, but when you're in cap trouble you can't afford the luxury of spending that much on a TE, part of me wonders if we'll see a move soon involving Evans or Grubbs, who are the second and fourth biggest cap hits respectively, does having a great center make having two great guards too much of a luxury? called it, surprised they could only get a fifth rounder Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

These mid level draft picks aren't likely going to bring in anywhere near the same talent as the guys their trading Even with a low 1st round pick they'd be lucky to get someone even close to as talented as Graham. Another $3 million becomes guaranteed if Grubbs is on the roster in March 2017. Acquired from the Saints for a fifth-round pick on Thursday, 31-year-old Grubbs should upgrade a line that had been in flux the last two seasons. Vin+ 3,121 Posted June 13, 2016 NFL.com's Ian Rapoport reports free agent OG Ben Grubbs' neck injury is likely career ending. Grubbs suffered the injury in Week 7. He was released with a "failed physical" designation in the opening days of free agency. Now 32, Grubbs was the No. 29 overall pick of the 2007 draft. He was one of the best guards in the league for the Ravens and Saints. Grubbs hasn't made any official announcements about his football future.
