TGP Radio 2015: O-Line Prospects

Recommended Posts

BTR sucks and won't let me open the studio. Gonna push it back to 11:30 and hope the issues are resolved by then

Vin is far too lubricated to host a radio show tonight.

Never lubricated, always raw.

Issues still haven't resolved. Back to midnight...

I quit. Studio still won't open, and I'm tired of waiting.

We'll try this again in 23 hours.

Brandon Scherff is gonna be a tackle :yep: Just so ya'll know. He won't be the first tackle taken, because Iowa guys never are... But he will end up being better than any tackle taken ahead of him -- just like Bulaga and Reiff .

I agree and honestly I don't think he'd be as good inside, he plays very much like an athletic tackle who likes to get on the move and get to the second level (which he's one of the best I've seen at getting to the 2nd level btw.) In the Nebraska game Gregory was out so he played this Jack Gangwish kid whos garbage at pass rush but hes pretty strong and he just dominated Scherff all game at the point of attack in the run game. Only when Scherff was on the move was he getting movement off the LOS against them. I was kinda shocked. But he did everything else great, anchored well in pass block, stayed with his guy well enough etc. Seems like he knows exactly what to do on each play it, I'd guess he's assignment smart. Did have some trouble with the smaller speedier guys in the Maryland game in pass protection but nothing too disturbing.

You guys are clearly going out of your way to avoid me tuning in to the show. I'm convinced of that. Discriminating against me because I live in Michigan. :disgust:

I don't know if I agree about Scherff. He was pretty bad a pass pro. His technique is terrible, not sure what they were teaching them but he just kinda shuffled backwards instead of kick sliding like normal. I didn't see him anchor consistently, and while he has good athleticism I just don't see him playing well on the edge. Just let him eat, gain some weight, and move inside. Already has a nasty attitude
