seanbrock 1,684 Posted August 6, 2015 I don't think their defense is dominant and that's what they'll have to be to win that division. They'll be dangerous but they're vulnerable. I'd say they're a borderline wildcard contender. They have some potential offensively but they have more potential to be a mess. They HAVE to get the run game going or they'll be in serious trouble. FartWaffles 1,857 Posted August 6, 2015 Time to start looking for Arian's replacement in next year's draft. If they can't find a good quarterback in the first round, I'd love it if they could draft that Elliott kid from Ohio State.
FartWaffles 1,857 Posted August 16, 2015 Preseason Week 1 vs. analysis: Pros -All three QBs were efficient in passing game. -Newcomers Shorts and Strong made big time touchdown plays. -Looks like the Texans found their return specialist in Chandler Worthy. -Kevin Johnson looked solid and from what I saw didn't have any safety help. -Reserve OLBs Jason Ankrah and Kourtnei Brown both shined in their opportunities. Cons -SIX attempted rushes inside the two yard line all stuffed by the 9ers. -Reserve o-linemen allowed a lot of pressure. -Reserve defense rush defense was atrocious. Overall it was a pretty good showing for the first preseason game. The excellent quarterback play was very encouraging to see. I'm interested to see Mallett work with the starters next week.
