All NFC West Team

Recommended Posts

Let's make All-Star teams out of all the divisions.

There are no formal rules for this. You can mix and match your players to fit any style you would want to play. This is especially true on offense, where I give you the option to choose a 2nd RB, a 2nd TE, or a 3rd WR. What kind of offense do you want to run for your All-Star team?

On defense, you can fill out a 3-4 or a 4-3. Or you can do both for fun, but only one could take the field in a hypothetical scenario. Let's get to it!

Offensive Coordinator: Bruce Arians :Cardinals:

This team is doomed. Why would you do that to them? Better off making him your HC if anything. :troll:

We should also include a CB3 in these teams. I didn't include it at first, so please edit your teams accordingly.

I don't think Larry Fitzgerald is even the best on his own team. The Michael Floyd factor is real, besides Fitz went catch-less multiple games last year and just largely disappeared. Even Doug Baldwin had a better year than Fitz last year. He isn't really an explosive guy anymore at all, though definitely the greatest Cardinal of all time. I'm pretty much on board with those rosters that are pretty similar other than receiver.

For WR, I wonder if it would be possible to just stick Jimmy Graham in there as a "slot receiver" to avoid having to pick 3 receivers as this division really doesn't have any #1s. I think I'd rather have Jared Cook as my tight end than have a rookie or John Brown as my third receiver, but that's just me.

If you had to take three pure wide receiver though, definitely Michael Floyd, and then probably Baldwin and John Brown.

Offense:
QB: Russell Wilson
RB1: Marshawn Lynch
WR1: Larry Fitzgerald
WR2: Torrey Smith
TE: Jimmy Graham
Utility player (RB2/TE2/WR3): Anquan Boldin
LT: Joe Staley
LG: Mike Iupati
C: Marcus Martin (it looks like every team in this division has a competition for starting C, so I'll jump on this train)
RG: Joe Cooper (he seems to be the only person currently penciled into a RG spot in this division)
RT: Greg Robinson (I've generally tried to leave olinemen where they're actually slated to start, but nobody seens to have a RT determined at this point)
I'm going 4-3, more top players fit that (two teams run each system)

4-3 defense

RDE: Michael Bennett

DT: Aaron Donald

DT: Corey Peters

LDE: Robert Quinn

LOLB: Bobby Wagner

MLB: Navarro Bowman

ROLB: Aldon Smith

CB1: Richard Sherman
CB2: Patrick Peterson
CB3: Jarraud Powers
FS: Earl Thomas
SS: Cam Chancellor
Return Specialist: Reggie Bush
Punter: Jon Ryan
Kicker: Chandler Catanzaro
Head Coach: Bruce Arians
Offensive Coordinator: Derrell Bevell
Defensive Coordinator: Gregg Williams
and the breakdown:
Seahawks: 9 players, 1 coach
49ers: 7 players
Cardinals: 7 players, 1 coach
Rams: 3 players, 1 coach

in six games with Carson Palmer last year Fitzgerald had 32 catches for 483 yards, projected to a season that's 85 catches for 1288 yards

my bad, originally I was going for 3-4 based on LBs, then realized I plugged Quinn in as an OLB and decided it'd be better to leave him as a DE and switched, forgot to change that line, good catch

also, I have to ask did everyone else forget that Torrey Smith signed with San Francisco?

Certainly did. I like Jimmy Graham Torrey Smith and Floyd as the main guys, but as a whole this division has really slim pickins. And yeah Sarge I just went with Baldwin because he's a pretty consistent slightly above average but super reliable guy kinda like Bobby Engram used to be, but no matter how you spin it, you end up with All Division WRs that really wouldn't be in any other.
