Sarge+ 3,436 Posted August 3, 2015 (edited) Let's make All-Star teams out of all the divisions. There are no formal rules for this. You can mix and match your players to fit any style you would want to play. This is especially true on offense, where I give you the option to choose a 2nd RB, a 2nd TE, or a 3rd WR. What kind of offense do you want to run for your All-Star team? On defense, you can fill out a 3-4 or a 4-3. Or you can do both for fun, but only one could take the field in a hypothetical scenario. Let's get to it! AFC South: Offense: QB: RB1: WR1: WR2: TE: Utility player (RB2/TE2/WR3): LT: LG: C: RG: RT: 4-3 defense RDE: DT: DT: LDE: LOLB: MLB: ROLB: CB1: CB2: CB3: FS: SS: 3-4 defense DE: NT: DE: LOLB: ILB: ILB: ROLB: CB1: CB2: FS: SS: Return Specialist: Punter: Kicker: Head Coach: Offensive Coordinator: Defensive Coordinator: Edited August 3, 2015 by Sarge
.AirMcNair. 1,232 Posted August 3, 2015 (edited) QB: Andrew Luck RB1: Arian Foster WR1: DeAndre Hopkins WR2: T.Y. Hilton TE: Delanie Walker Utility player (RB2/TE2/WR3): Julius Thomas LT: Duane Brown LG: Brandon Brooks(He's a RG, but isn't really any noteworthy LGs I can put here) C: A.Q. Shipley(I can't even think of a C in the AFC South that I consider all that good..highest rated C on PFF for AFC South is Shipley at +4.5, so him I guess.) RG: Brandon Linder RT: Taylor Lewan 4-3 defense RDE: Robert Mathis DT: Jurrell Casey DT: JJ Watt(I would move him around the line to get the best matchup possible, so this is really just a place holder position for him) LDE: Jared Odrick LOLB: Zach Brown cause why not be shitty like the entire division is. MLB: Paul Posluszny ROLB: Telvin Smith Jacksonville is the only team that runs a 4-3 in this division anymore, and most players fit to play OLB in a 4-3 from the other teams(like Zach Brown from the Titans), I trust about as far as I could throw them. I remember liking the Jags LB play from their two games against the Titans so I just picked them, but for all I know they suck dick. Too lazy to check their PFF ratings. Pos and Avery Williamson are the two options at ILB, IMO, and Pos, while maybe over paid, is at the very least a consistently decent player. Williamson needs more than just 1 year to make it over him. CB1: Vontae Davis CB2: Jason McCourty FS: I'm drawing a blank here. So long as it's someone that isn't Michael Griffin SS: Mike Adams 3-4 defense DE: JJ Watt NT: Vince Wilfork DE: Jurrell Casey LOLB: Robert Mathis ILB: Paul Posluszny ILB: Avery Williamson ROLB: Brian Orakpo Secondary same as above. Return Specialist: ? I dunno. Dexter McCluster I guess? Punter: The boss of all bosses, Pat McAfee Kicker: Adam Vinatieri Head Coach: Chuck Pagano Offensive Coordinator: Bill O'Brien Defensive Coordinator: Gus Bradley juses crust the AFC South fuckin sucks. .AirMcNair. 1,232 Posted August 3, 2015 (edited) Apparently Red Bryant and Geno Hayes aren't even on the Jags anymore, so that's a thing. Made the proper changes. Edited August 3, 2015 by .AirMcNair.
Cherry 1,302 Posted August 3, 2015 AFC South: Oh God Edition Offense: QB: Andrew Luck RB1: Arian Foster WR1: T.Y. Watt DT: Jurrell Casey LDE: Jadaveon Clowney LOLB: Dan Skuta MLB: Brian Cushing ROLB: Wesley Woodyard CB1: Vontae Davis CB2: Kareem Jackson FS: Rahim Moore SS: Jonathan Cyprien 3-4 defense DE: Jurrell Casey NT: Vince Wilfork DE: J.J. oochymp 2,393 Posted August 3, 2015 (edited) Offense: QB: Andrew Luck RB1: Arian Foster WR1: TY Hilton WR2: DeAndre Hopkins TE: Julius Thomas Utility player (RB2/TE2/WR3): Kendall Wright LT: Duane Brown LG: Jack Mewhort C: Ben Jones RG: Chance Warmack RT: Derrick Newton Jags are the only team that runs a 4-3, so I'm going with the 3-4 3-4 defense: DE: JJ Watt NT: Vince Wilfork DE: Jurrell Casey LOLB: Brian Orakpo ILB: Brian Cushing ILB: Paul Posluszny ROLB: Robert Mathis CB1: Vontae Davis CB2: Jonathan Joseph CB3: Jason McCourty FS: Rahim Moore SS: Mike Adams Return Specialist: Phillip Dorsett Punter: Pat McAfee Kicker: Adam Vinatieri Head Coach: Gus Bradley Offensive Coordinator: Pep Hamilton Defensive Coordinator: Dick LeBeau a few comments: first the breakdown: Texans: 10 players Colts: 9 players, 1 coach Titans: 5 players, 1 coach Jaguars: 2 players, 1 coach and the tough calls: The utility player was a tough call, I considered Andre Johnson and Delanie Walker, who I think would both have been solid choices, but I think Wrights a more dynamic player right now so I went with him (also thought about Gore, but quickly realized 2 RBs wasn't the way to go) LT was a tough choice, I hadn't really looked at how stacked the division is there but by the end of the year I think you'll be able to make a case for any of the four there As good as our LTs are, our LGs are that bad, I strongly considered going with two RGs and taking either Linder or Brooks there, but decided to stick with actual positions on the oline Center was pretty bad too, as evidenced by the fact that I took a guy who's moving inside from guard this year (though he would have been the clear choice at LG if he was staying there) RG was also a tough choice as there are three good ones in the division, this one may have been a homer pick RT was also a tough spot to fill, again I thought about using the second LT but wanted to stick with actual positions On the defense, anyone who does a 4-3 is wrong, the AFC South has three teams that run a 3-4 so that's what the all-division team should be I went with Posluszny as one of the ILB even though Jacksonville runs a 4-3 I think he could adjust and be at least as good as anyone else in the division (also, he did play in a 3-4 his last year in Buffalo) the homer in me wanted to put Zach Brown, and he might be there by the end of the season, but coming off injury I can't put him there Corner was tough, I didn't want to leave out McCourty but I couldn't convince myself he's better than Vontae or Joseph, well that got easier with the CB3 slot the Return spot was tough, nobody's really that good, so I went with Dorsett based on potential Edited August 3, 2015 by oochymp
.AirMcNair. 1,232 Posted August 3, 2015 LG: Andy Levitre
Cherry 1,302 Posted August 3, 2015 Who else is there
oochymp 2,393 Posted August 3, 2015 Who else is there I went with Jack Mewhort, who was serviceable last year as a rookie, otherwise there's not much there, Zane Beadles (Jacksonville) and Levitre (Tennessee) are both overpaid and nearly worthless and Houston's got Xavier Su'a Filo, who started one game as a rookie last year, slated in for the spot after moving Ben Jones to Center you could also choose to pull a RG over there, those options are Chance Warmack, Brandon Brooks, and Brandon Linder, grab any two of those and you've got a decent pair of guards
Sarge+ 3,436 Posted August 3, 2015 Can you guys add a CB3 to your teams as well? I should have put it there originally, since I gave the offense a flex position.
