2015 NBA Season Thread!

Recommended Posts

Well, Sam Hinke stepped down as 76ers gm. He definitely had a controversial tenure, and it will be interesting to see where the 76ers go with their GM spot next. Are they going to poach the Spurs? Maybe try to get someone from the Golden State office? Maybe look for some under-the-radar scout to accept a promotion. Well there are a lot of options, and they have some tim to sort this out.

Or maybe Jerry Colangelo will immediately hire his son, who has already failed miserably as a gm. 76ers, you suck.

Jerry Colangelo has stepped down. I'm not sure he took this job for any reason other than to get his son hired.

We beat the Cavs..but that win did not feel as good as it normally does.

This season is all for naught.

At least, you don't have to suffer the pain of the annual playoff exit via :bronbron:

I pretty much want the Warriors to win it all so all this talk of "Michael and the Bulls are untouchable!" can end.

Kobe and AI were my fav players to watch growing up. To see both of them gone and one in the HOF kinda makes me feel old.

Any of the major basketball guys (I'm looking at you, DMac and ATL) have any clue why Terrence Jones hasn't seen relevant minutes in weeks?

Joakim Noah has reportedly been telling his Chicago teammates that he's done with the organization and will be looking to go elsewhere as an unrestricted free agent this offseason.

Noah reportedly has no faith in Bulls' GM Gar Forman being able to put the pieces together to turn the Chicago franchise around, and it'll be interesting to see what kind of offers he can secure on the open market after his previous two seasons have been cut short due to injury. Noah will likely sign a one-year "show-me" deal in order to reestablish his value as a free agent, but the injury concerns will make him a tough guy to target prior to the final few rounds on draft day.

The NBA has informed all 30 teams the salary cap will increase to $94 million for the 2016-17 season.

Wow. It was originally projected to be at $88 million and that projection eventually jumped to $92 million. Teams are going to have a ton of money to go after players, which means borderline max-contract players should see bigger deals. Free agency starts on July 1.

This is gonna be the most insane free agency since 2010. Sooooo many bad contracts are gonna be given out.
