Bruce Irvin suspended 4 games

The Seahawks bought pass-rushers in bulk this offseason, and it’s a good thing they did.
The league announced that Seahawks defensive end Bruce Irvin has been suspended four games for violating the league’s policy on performance enhancing substances.
He can still take part in offseason workouts, training camp and the preseason, but won’t be eligible to play until after their Sept. 29 game against the Texans.
Irvin had 8.0 sacks as a rookie, but was being counted on for more this year.
“I want to apologize to my teammates, coaches and Seahawks fans for making a mistake when I took a substance that is prohibited in the NFL without a medical exemption,” Irvin said in a statement released by the team. “I am extremely disappointed in the poor judgment I showed and take full responsibility for my actions. I will not appeal the discipline and instead will focus my energy on preparing for the season so I can begin earning your trust and respect again. I look forward to contributing to the team the moment I return.”
Mentioning the lack of a medical exemption makes it sound like this one’s going to be blamed on Adderall.
His absence for the first month justifies their offseason additions of Cliff Avriland Michael Bennett. -
Should Donovan McNabb make the Hall of Fame?
16 May 2013 - 09:35 PM
Heard this being debated on the radio about a hour ago. They were debating about him and Boomer Esiason.
For McNabb, his careers numbers are pretty damn impressive and in the 1st half of the 2000's, he was consistently one of the best QB's in the NFL. I personally think he won't get in, but if he had won a Superbowl, he would get in. Thoughts? -
Offensive Rookie of the Year?
15 May 2013 - 03:32 PM
I feel like Tavon Austin will be the popular pick here, but I am going to go with Cordarelle Patterson. He's going to get a lot of touches this year through offense and special teams, I really see him filling in the role that Percy Harvin played. Who do you think wins OROY? -
Raiders sign Josh Cribbs

The Raiders made receiver/kick returner Josh Cribbs an offer last week at the outset of his post-Cleveland U.S. tour. After visiting three other teams, Cribbs has decided to accept it. Per a source with knowledge of the situation, Cribbs has agreed to terms with the Raiders.
Cribbs also visited the Giants, Jets, and Lions. Jets G.M. John Idzik recently said that Cribbs' injured knee "isn't quite there yet," which in all fairness could be a reaction to Cribbs' belief that the Jets' offer wasn't quite there yet.
Picking the Raiders over the Giants?

Who starts at QB for the Jets in week 1?
15 May 2013 - 03:06 PM
The Jets are saying they will give all 5 guys a chance to win the starting spot. So, who do you see winning the competition/who do you think should start in week 1 for the Jets?
I personally think they should start Garrard, but I think Sanchez will be under center in week 1. Either way, I do not think they should throw Geno Smith in there because he barely has any weapons to work with. Don't want him to have a shitty rookie season and lose his confidence. Let him sit the bench and learn for a year and get some weapons next off-season, and then let him show you what he has.
