  1. Jimmy Smith has been in jail for 2 months..will stay for another 5 years

    13 May 2013 - 08:01 PM

    Quote

First Coast News reports that Smith has been in a Mississippi jail since late March, and is scheduled to be there until 2018, serving time on charges of cocaine possession and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Smith has had a series of arrests since retiring after the 2005 season, and recently moved back to his hometown of Jackson, Miss.

    Wow, what a shame.

Was called by Jeff Fisher the best receiver in the NFL when he was in his prime. Surprised no one heard of this til now.
  2. Cordarrelle Patterson Sports Science

    17 April 2013 - 07:17 PM

I shall say it again..prepare your anus, NFL. Cordarrelle Patterson is going to violate it. :yep:
  3. Tony Romo highest paid Cowboys player in history

    Adam Schefter ‏@AdamSchefter 1m

Cowboys and Tony Romo reached an agreement on blockbuster 6-year extension that makes him highest paid player in team history, per sources.

6 years is interesting. Not sure Romo is worth the contract, but whatever.

    I lol'd so hard.

  5. Pat Summitt Petition

    30 November 2012 - 03:23 PM

    https://www.change.o...t-summitt#share

This is a petition to rename the NCAA Womens Basketball National Championship Trophy after Pat Summitt.

I know most here are probably all "lolwomensbaksetball" but Pat Summitt quite literally gave everything to Women's College Basketball and the University of Tennessee, as she singlehandedly made womens basketball a recognizable sport, and accomplished so much in her career, which includes:

In 2009, she was named to Sporting News' list of the 50 greatest coaches of all time (MLB, NBA, NFL, NHL, college basketball, and college football). She was listed as the 11th greatest of all time.
Most number 1 seeds in NCAA Division I postseason play (20)
Most wins as an NCAA/AIAW Division I basketball head coach (1,098; in second place is Mike Krzyzewski with 927 wins)
Most wins in NCAA postseason play (109)
Most NCAA Final Four appearances (18, six more than John Wooden, who holds the men's records)
    16-time SEC Champions
    16-time SEC Tournament Champions
8-time SEC Coach of the Year
7-time NCAA Coach of the Year
    8-time NCAA Champions

I'm not sure if this petition will mean much, but it already has 22,061 as of me posting this, so maybe it'll get noticed.

Are you like me and think we will be addressing defense in the first round, seeing as we brought in a few o-linemen throughout free agency?

I hope Tom does step in as OC. I'd like to see him work some of that 2000s Indy magic over here. Get a balance going between our running and passing attack. Granted they did have superstars... But I'd settle for a smaller version of that. LOL
What you think of Coach Jones? Took me a few to warm up to him, but I am to where I like him and hope he puts some wins in the column.

So many names being tossed out. Bobby Petrino, Charlie Strong, Al Golden, Gary Patterson, Gruden, Jim Mora Jr. Jim Tressel, Jimbo Fisher. It's hard for me to keep up. I personally like Patterson and Strong. Fisher is one hell of a recruiter though, to bad it hasn't shown on the field

Tridentdawgp...  : (18 May 2013 - 09:54 PM) The NASCAR All-Star race is so fucking stupid
Tridentdawgp...  : (18 May 2013 - 09:54 PM) 43 drivers on the circuit, 21 in this race
.AirMcNair.  : (18 May 2013 - 09:56 PM) ..Nascar all-star race? the fuck?
.AirMcNair.  : (18 May 2013 - 09:56 PM) Nascar has all-stars?
Tridentdawgp...  : (18 May 2013 - 09:56 PM) Should be the guys who win with consistency
Tridentdawgp...  : (18 May 2013 - 09:56 PM) So like....there should be probably five people in this
.AirMcNair.  : (18 May 2013 - 09:56 PM) How much better at driving can you really be than the next nascar driver?
BenJarvus Gr...  : (18 May 2013 - 09:57 PM) you live in the south, Alex
Tridentdawgp...  : (18 May 2013 - 09:57 PM) Probably half the drivers in this field haven't won in the past three years
BenJarvus Gr...  : (18 May 2013 - 09:57 PM) you should understand this
Tridentdawgp...  : (18 May 2013 - 09:57 PM) 4-5 of them haven't won ever
.AirMcNair.  : (18 May 2013 - 09:58 PM) But..isn't that because of the difference in cars and shit? Not the driving?
.AirMcNair.  : (18 May 2013 - 09:58 PM) I mean..anyone can be great at driving..it's not a talent.
Vin+  : (18 May 2013 - 10:00 PM) http://www.blogtalkr...season-part-ten
Zack_of_Steel+  : (18 May 2013 - 10:00 PM) NASCAR if sucking stupid, but driving is definitely a talent. Understanding how to accelerate and when to turn and how to pass are all skills.
Tridentdawgp...  : (18 May 2013 - 10:01 PM) There are some that are clearly superior
Tridentdawgp...  : (18 May 2013 - 10:01 PM) Those are the five that should probably be in this
dutchff7  : (18 May 2013 - 10:01 PM) Driving definitely is a skill
.AirMcNair.  : (18 May 2013 - 10:02 PM) I think of talent as something natural
Tridentdawgp...  : (18 May 2013 - 10:02 PM) (Kyle Busch, Jimmie Johnson, Matt Kenseth, Denny Hamlin, and...well shit I got four)
.AirMcNair.  : (18 May 2013 - 10:02 PM) Skill and talent are two different things for me
BenJarvus Gr...  : (18 May 2013 - 10:02 PM) I could be a good nascar driver
BenJarvus Gr...  : (18 May 2013 - 10:02 PM) sign me up
.AirMcNair.  : (18 May 2013 - 10:03 PM) Anyone can learn to be an incredible driver. Not everyone can own world records in the olympics.
RazorStar  : (18 May 2013 - 10:03 PM) JEFF GORDON
.AirMcNair.  : (18 May 2013 - 10:03 PM) That's the type of difference I mean
Bay  : (18 May 2013 - 10:03 PM) Ngata_Chance : (18 May 2013 - 10:51 PM) ANd bay is a bastard for taking aneas williams -- :smug:
.AirMcNair.  : (18 May 2013 - 10:04 PM) Aeneas Williams can go fuck himself, I got me some Champ Bailey and Herb Adderley :yep:
Zack_of_Steel+  : (18 May 2013 - 10:04 PM) Not just anyone can learn to be an amazing NASCAR driver.
BLUE  : (18 May 2013 - 10:04 PM) Vincenzo's show is on the air: http://www.blogtalkr...season-part-ten
BLUE  : (18 May 2013 - 10:05 PM) :yep:
Tridentdawgp...  : (18 May 2013 - 10:06 PM) For the most part though, if you watch a NASCAR race there's probably a 90% chance that one of the four drivers I just listed is going to win
Zack_of_Steel+  : (18 May 2013 - 10:06 PM) It's like pool or darts. You can learn how to do it at a high level, but some people are predisposed to being able to learn the skills and be more efficient or just have an innate understanding.
Tridentdawgp...  : (18 May 2013 - 10:06 PM) Which I why it's really starting to fall out of favor with me
