Well before Britt had his knee injury he was one of the top 5 best up and coming receivers. We can play the what if game all day but just for a example Britt was just hitting his prime and had the potential to break 1500+ yards in 2011.

Steve smith maybe has one or two years left but is guaranteed on his last leg. It was obvious this last year that he might not have even been half of his former self. Britt is still only 25, is a cheap option and has a top ceiling of being a top 5 wr if he gets his head straight. That's just more of a business view on both players
